💙 Giving back, one bag at a time! 💙

Today, our residents had a wonderful time volunteering at The Well Outreach! We worked together as a team and put together approximately 300 snack bags for children to take home. 🥨🍎

We love The Well, and we love being able to support the amazing work they do in our community. We’re always happy when they come visit us—and even happier when we get to visit them! 😊

A little teamwork, a little fun, and a whole lot of heart. What a great outing! 💙

❤️ RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT: PAT HUMPHREY ❤️

Born in Crittenden, Kentucky, in 1932, Pat Humphrey is the fifth of seven children and has dedicated his life to faith, family, service, and people.

Pat proudly served in the United States Army, completing two three-and-a-half-year terms. After returning home from Germany, he settled in Louisville, where he married the love of his life, Lynda, in 1960. Together, they built a beautiful family that now includes a daughter, three granddaughters, three great-grandchildren, and soon-to-be two great-great-grandchildren! ❤️

After his military service, Pat spent more than 50 years as a pastor. While he may no longer officially lead a church, he says he has never retired from his calling. He continues to encourage, pray for, and help others whenever he can.

A Goldton resident since 2021, Pat enjoys Bingo, exercise classes, church services, and especially our weekly Veterans’ meetings. He also loves reading, music, dancing, trips to McKay’s, lunch with family, and spending time with his grand dogs, Oakli and Charli! 🐾

With his wonderful sense of humor and kind heart, Pat believes that serving others isn’t just something he does—it’s a way of life. ❤️

We are so grateful to have you as part of our Goldton family, Pat!

🐦🏡 Birdhouse Creations! 🏡🐦

It was time to get creative and make something delicious for the birds we enjoy seeing every day! Our residents worked hard creating their very own birdhouses, with a little teamwork, lots of creativity, and plenty of peanut butter and seeds. 🌻🥜

And let’s be honest… it was almost impossible not to lick your fingers while spreading that peanut butter! 😂

Now these little birdhouses are ready for the patio, waiting for our feathered friends to stop by for a snack. 💕🐦

✨ Show & Tell ✨

Our Show & Tell was such a special reminder that the things we hold onto often carry a lifetime of memories. From military medals and cherished keepsakes to artwork and childhood treasures, every item had a story.

One of our residents even shared an incredible painting of a famous clown that she created from a tiny stamp she found in the library. 🎨❤️

Because sometimes an object isn’t just an object.

It’s a piece of someone’s life.

We are so honored that our residents trust us with their stories. ❤️

🌿 A HUGE shoutout to our amazing community! 🌿

Our back patio needed a little refresher, and what a transformation! 💚 It has quickly become a favorite space for our residents to enjoy the outdoors, watch the deer and birds, relax, and make memories together.

We’ve already celebrated our Hawaiian Party, Father’s Day, and Fall Festival out here—and we’re just getting started! 🎉🌺🍂

A special THANK YOU to our volunteers, Jeff our bus driver, our wonderful families who donated and helped, Lowe’s, Spring Hill Garden Center, and T & C Remodeling and Home Repair for helping make this beautiful space happen!

This is what community looks like! ❤️
