Dimension of Wellness: Emotional

Activity: Dog Therapy with Goldie & Bailey

Story: Since I started over a year ago- I set up the therapy dog visits because I think seeing animals makes people happy! The residents love having something fluffy and loving come visit. Today we had a very special treat- we not only got a visit from Goldie (mini golden doodle) but we also had Bailey (Great Pyrenees/ German Shepard mix) and the Residents were so Happy to give them all the love.

Please help us reach our $1500 goal! This disease affects not only our loved ones but their families as well! Help the Alzheimer’s Association find a cure!!

Sometimes we have to stop and just say THANK YOU to our entire team! They work so hard for our residents and ensure they get the best care possible! Our nurses, caregivers, cooks, life enrichment, housekeeper, bookkeeper and maintenance you are appreciated! We could not provide the care we do without you all! Even in the difficult times you all find the positive! You have a heart of gold and we are blessed you are with us!

What a fun day we had today. First, we had a lovely Service with our friends from Station Hill Church,Janet shared a most private part of her life ( a new activity which we will be taking turns sharing some most precious memories ) and to finish the day our dear friends Joann & Odis from Station Hill Church came back and had each resident bring something old from their past. What a wonderful afternoon we had everything from handmade antique items from great grandparents to Margaret sharing her high school yearbook and her etchings and absolutely everything in between. Thank you for a wonderful day. We will all treasure for a long time.❤️

Tried some table bowling and the residents of the arbors had a blast! No strikes but they all gave it a shot! We will definitely play it again!
