We're excited to recognize 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺, 𝗥𝗧 - a respiratory therapist here with Maury Regional Health - on being named a recent 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 winner! 🌻

When nominating Trint, his nominator shared a time that Trint went above and beyond for a patient’s son while the patient was having a medical emergency, adding: "Being a calming force helped the son to better understand his mother’s condition as well as calm himself. Trint could have just sat back and watched since the other respiratory therapists had control of the situation, but instead Trint noticed that a family member was in need and showed kindness and concern."

Help us say thank you to folks like Trint for the compassion and care he helps bring to our patients each and every day. 💛

Coming up on Friday, October 23, Maury Regional Health is set to host its free 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 seminar from 2-3 p.m. at Maury Regional Medical Center to help Medicare beneficiaries understand potential changes to coverage and costs for the coming year.

A reminder: Medicare open enrollment is now open and runs from October 15 to December 7. During this period, beneficiaries are encouraged to review their current coverage, confirm that preferred providers remain in network and determine which Part D plan best covers their prescription medications. Any plan changes will take effect Jan. 1, 2027.

Every patient has a story. This is Cary’s 🎗️

Sometimes, the most important discoveries are the ones we never expected. For Cary Durham, it was her annual mammogram that revealed early-stage breast cancer — not a symptom, a lump or something that felt out of the ordinary.

Her story is a reminder that taking time for routine screenings can make a meaningful difference. On 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆, we share Cary's experience in hopes of encouraging others to make their breast health a priority. Thank you to Cary for allowing us to share her story.

Most of us have been impacted by breast cancer in some way, whether through a family member, friend, coworker, patient or our own personal journey.

Today across our health system, our team showed up for a 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗢𝘂𝘁 in recognition and support of 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵! Behind every pink shirt, ribbon, sock, accessory and more is a reminder that we all stand together in support of our patients, our community, and the fight against breast cancer. 🎗️

Coming up on Saturday, October 24, we're again partnering with the Maury County Sheriff's Department and Maury County Prevention Coalition for 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗮𝘆. Members of our community are invited to dispose of expired, unused or unneeded prescription drugs at this free and anonymous drug take-back event. Simply pull through our convenient drive-thru to drop your prescription drugs with a member of the Maury Regional Medical Center security team or the Maury County Sheriff's Office.

On November 21, Parker Ellington Martin celebrated his first birthday by delivering gifts for other children. With his parents, Cord and Sondra Martin of Columbia, Parker returned on his special day to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Maury Regional Medical Center to deliver hundreds of books for children staying in the NICU.

The Martins, both educators, recognize the importance of reading to children early and often. Shortly after their son was discharged from the hospital, the Martins formed Parker’s Project, a program through the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation and its NICU Fund to provide every family in the NICU with a book to read to their child.

“Our hope is that the books this project provides will serve as an outlet for parents to feel like they are contributing to their child’s growth,” said Sondra.
