👁️✨ What exactly is an Optomap—and does it hurt?!

We get this question ALL the time, so we wanted to show you exactly what an Optomap image looks like and how quick and easy the process is! 👀

Optomap retinal imaging gives Dr. Price & Dr. Mallory a much wider view of the back of your eye than a traditional retinal photograph. This allows us to see more of the retina—including areas that may be difficult to visualize during a routine exam.

Why is that important? 🔎 The retina can show early signs of conditions such as retinal tears or detachments, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular changes, and other eye health concerns. Getting a wider view helps your doctor get a more complete picture of your overall eye health.

And the BIG question… does it hurt?
