Sound familiar?

Maybe you've noticed your mom struggling to keep up with things around the house, or you're worried about your dad living alone. You bring it up because you care, but the conversation doesn't go quite how you hoped.

So how do you talk about getting help without making your parent feel like you're taking away their independence?

🍝 There's something about gathering around a table with friends that makes a meal even better!

Our residents headed to Olive Garden for their weekly outing, enjoying a delicious lunch and some time together outside the community.

For many of us, going out to eat is as much about the company as it is about the food. Our residents love having the chance to visit their favorite restaurants and catch up with friends over a meal. 🍽️

And an Olive Garden outing is always a good reason to look forward to lunchtime!

🎀 On Wednesdays, we wear pink. This Wednesday, it meant something especially personal to our Spring Hill family.

Our Community Relations Director, Heather, recently began chemotherapy after being diagnosed with stage 4 HER2-positive breast cancer. This week, our residents and associates came together wearing pink to show Heather that she has a whole community standing beside her.

Heather shared how grateful she is for the support she's received, both at home and at Morning Pointe. As she begins this difficult journey, she's leaning on her faith and the people around her.

"Every prayer is a link in my armor as I fight this battle," Heather shared.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're thinking of everyone facing this disease, those who have come through it, and the families who have lost someone they love.

🎀 Behind every pink ribbon is a person, a family and a story that matters.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to recognize those who have faced the disease while also encouraging the women in our lives to stay informed, talk with their healthcare providers and keep up with recommended screenings.

This October, we wear pink for them. 💗

🎤🌟 Another sold-out crowd at The Franklin Theatre came out to celebrate the incredible talent of seniors!

The 8th Annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent Franklin brought 13 acts featuring performers age 60+ to the stage, each with an opportunity to share their talents with an enthusiastic Middle Tennessee audience.

Congratulations to this year's winners!
🥇 1st Place: Janie Mason, 79, ventriloquist
🥈 2nd Place: Sandy Elliott, 63, opera singer
🥉 3rd Place & People's Choice: Terry Coulter, 66, singer and fitness performer

The evening also featured the first-ever Morning Pointe Resident Art Show, recognizing the creative talents of residents across our communities.

🎨 Overall Winner: Carolyn Carter, 86, of Morning Pointe of Franklin, TN - Assisted Living, for her oil painting.
🎨 People's Choice Winner: Jean Rosenbaum, 96, of Morning Pointe of Brentwood - Assisted Living & Memory Care, for her acrylic painting.

And the impact extends well beyond the stage. More than $40,000 was raised to support the Morning Pointe Foundation's scholarships for students pursuing careers in nursing, culinary arts, social work and therapy, as well as free caregiver education for families.

For the performers, it was an opportunity to share something they love with an audience cheering them on. For future caregivers, the funds raised will help support their education and career goals.

We spent a beautiful afternoon painting festive fall door hangings, with each resident adding their own creative touches. It was fun seeing the different colors and designs come together, and now these handmade decorations will bring a little fall cheer to our community! 😊🧡

Some come to visit longtime church members who now call Morning Pointe home. Others give their time to lead devotions, share communion, or worship with residents. In each case, they’re helping residents continue a part of life and faith that means so much to them.
