"Gracious and Holy God, You created us as whole persons -- body, mind, and spirit -- and Your spirit sustains and renews us every day. We give you thanks for our chaplains, for their faithful service within our communities, providing pastoral presence and care. Thank you for all our colleagues who are also called to provide spiritual care, as we together serve our Mission in the spirit of the Gospel and demonstrate Reverence for the whole person. Among all colleagues nominated from across Trinity Health Senior Communities' national portfolio, Chris Spier received the second place Sister Angela Gillespie Servant Leader Award earlier this month. Director of Environmental Services at Heartwood Lodge in Spring Lake, Michigan, Chris was recognized for "compassion, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to serving others." According to his nomination, "Whether assisting with everyday needs, helping coworkers, or stepping in during times of crisis, he leads with humility and a servant's heart. His dedication was especially evident when he gave up part of a holiday weekend to help welcome residents displaced by a fire at another Trinity Health Senior Community." We are thrilled to share that eight Trinity Health Senior Communities have received "Gold Trophy" icons on their Nursing Home Compare profiles. The graphic indicates the Centers' for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) designation for high performers among nursing homes that qualify for CMS' Risk-Based Survey program. A Gold Trophy icon appears alongside each of these skilled nursing communities' Care Compare star rating.
The Gold Trophy is shown on roughly 12% of U.S. nursing homes' profiles, and while it is not the only indicator of quality, it's certainly a point of pride! Congratulations Bellbrook, Glacier Hills' Care and Rehabilitation Center, The Neighborhoods of White Lake, Fraser Villa, St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center, Mercy Circle, Mary's Meadow, and MercyOne Dyersville Care Center!

Heartwood Lodge is excited to welcome the community, staff, families, friends and grandchildren for an evening of Halloween fun at our annual Trick-or-Treating Event! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Heartwood Lodge was honored to welcome The Saint John’s Bible, a remarkable work of art and faith. This fully handwritten and hand-illuminated seven-volume Bible was commissioned by Saint John’s Abbey and University in Minnesota and completed in 2011 under the artistic direction of master calligrapher Donald Jackson.

Residents and team members had the opportunity to experience this extraordinary piece of history firsthand. One resident, Verla Thomas, shared her thoughts:

"A piece of history, amazing. Something I feel blessed to have experienced in my lifetime."

Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful experience possible. Moments like these remind us of the power of art, history, faith, and lifelong learning. ❤️

🌟 Introducing Our New Resident Council President, Richard Heisser! 🌟
Please join us in congratulating Richard on being elected as our new Resident Council President!
Richard has called the Muskegon area home his entire life. Throughout his career, he worked for Consumers Energy and also volunteered with the Red Cross, demonstrating his commitment to serving others. Family is incredibly important to Richard, and he enjoys spending time with his six children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A passionate coin collector and devoted Lions fan, Richard is hoping to catch every Lions game this season! 🏈
When asked why he accepted this role, Richard shared that he wants to get to know his fellow residents better and help ensure everyone is happy living at Heartwood Lodge. He believes every resident's voice matters and is committed to listening and advocating for the community.
Thank you, Richard, for stepping into this leadership role. We are excited to work alongside you and look forward to all you will accomplish for our residents! ❤️

Hearty congratulations to our very own St. Joseph of the Pines Life Plan Community in Southern Pines, NC on their sixth consecutive "Best of the Pines" recognition! Each year, The Pilot -- Moore County's print newspaper -- hosts this annual awards event. Last evening, St. Joseph of the Pines received "Best Retirement/Senior Living" honors and first place in the "seniors" category for "Best Place to Give Your Time and Money." All of us throughout Trinity Health Senior Communities are cheering you on, Team SJP!
