On Sunday, October 18, 2026 Louise Johnson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at Circle of Life in Springdale with family by her side at the age of 95.

Louise was born on March 22, 1931, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to the late Garland and Hettie Lawless. Although circumstances dictated that she never graduated from high school when she was a teen, she took great pride in being able to attend classes as an adult at the vo-tech school in Springdale to obtain her GED.

She endured and overcame many obstacles, one of the hardest ones being a battle against tuberculosis when she was a young girl. In the early 1940s, she spent over a year in a hospital in Booneville, AR where she turned 13. She was told she would never live past her 30s and that she should never have any children. Well, she was never one to give up on anything, so she decided to live her life without fear. She married and went on to have 2 children and live to age 95. She married Doyle Johnson and had Tara and Melanie. Many years after Doyle’s death, she married Edward Johnson and they enjoyed almost 52 years of marriage until her passing.

Louise was a faithful member of Cross Church (formerly First Baptist Church). She used her gift God gave her by serving for many years working in the nursery. She loved children; she loved being around them and was always there to take care of her grandchildren. She was the best “Nanny” ever.

Ruth Ann Chelette, 62, a beautiful, charismatic, and fiercely independent woman, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones and holding the hand of her only son, Joshua, just as she had wished.
Born on February 3, 1964, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to Chuck Parker III and Lola Ann Meriwether, Ruth Ann lived a life defined by strength, determination, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family.
Ruth Ann was truly one of a kind. She was outspoken, unapologetically herself, and never afraid to speak her mind. She had no filter, said what she wanted when she wanted, and made no apologies for being exactly who she was. Her charisma, strong personality, and unmistakable presence made her someone you simply couldn't forget. Those who knew Ruth Ann knew that with her, you never had to wonder what she was thinking.
Despite facing challenges throughout her life, Ruth Ann refused to let her circumstances define her future. Through hard work, perseverance, and determination, she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. Her intelligence, dedication, and leadership eventually led her to become one of the youngest charge nurses in the state of Louisiana at the time, an accomplishment that reflected her remarkable drive and dedication to caring for others.

Naomi Belle George, 91, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Circle of Life Earlene Howard Hospice in Springdale.
Naomi was born on March 15, 1935, in Huntsville, Arkansas, to James Alvin Harrington and Retha Velma Sims Harrington.
A woman of deep faith and a servant's heart, Naomi was a charter member of Faith in the Word Church in Springdale. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived her life and served others. She was a faithful and devoted member of her church, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and preparing countless meals for her church family. Whether she was sharing her faith, lifting her voice in song, or working in the kitchen, Naomi found joy in serving the Lord and those around her.
Naomi retired from the Springdale Public School System, where she worked as a cook and custodian. Her caring nature and strong work ethic were reflected in everything she did.
Above all, Naomi loved Jesus, her family, and her beloved husband, Charles Corbett George. The two shared 63 years of marriage before Charles passed away on April 12, 2013. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
Naomi was especially known for her wonderful cooking and baking. Considered by those who knew her to be one of the world's best cookie and pie makers, she had a special gift for making something delicious and sharing it with others. Atoba Alebar, age 78, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away September 9, 2026, in Springdale. He was born July 29, 1948, on Ebon Atoll in the Marshall Islands, the son of Belij Alebar and Luial Elero.

Atoba made his home in Springdale and worked for many years as a truck driver in the construction industry.

He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to countless others. His family remembers the love he had for those around him and the many relationships he formed throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kimere Alebar in 2020.

Atoba is survived by his daughter, Meresha Dunlap, along with his grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Funeral services are planned for October 15, 16, and 17, 2026, at a Marshallese church, with the location and service details to be announced. Following the services, Atoba will be laid to rest at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.

Norman Anthony Hahn, 74, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on October 9, 2026. He was born August 16, 1952, in Garden City, Kansas, to Wendell Hahn and Esther Ethel Hallmark.
Norman drove for McKee Baking alongside his friend Don Mahoney for many years. His years on the road gave him a wealth of knowledge about places across the country. He could name countless tourist attractions and good restaurants from his travels and was fondly described as a “walking road map.”
He enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and playing golf. He dearly loved his grandson, Charlie.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jennifer Hahn; and his brothers, David Hahn and Virgil Flynn.
Survivors include his son, Brad Hahn and wife Crystal; two daughters, Jill Fletcher and Christin Hahn; two brothers, Michael Hahn and Alvin Hahn; one grandson, Charlie Parker Hahn; and his former wife, Linda Hahn.
Norman will be laid to rest next to his mother at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

Jon Scott Perry, 43, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:45 a.m., surrounded by his family and friends, following an aggressive battle with ALS. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable hole in the hearts of those who loved him, Jon leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, laughter, and a life devoted to the people who mattered most.

Born and raised in Springdale, Jon was a lifelong member of the community he called home. For 20 years, he dedicated himself to his work at Sam’s Club, where he was known for his hard work, humility, and commitment. But his greatest accomplishment and deepest joy were never found in a job title or professional achievement. They were found at home, alongside his wife, Chelsea, and their two children, Carter and Kennedy Mac.

Jon was the definition of a devoted husband and father. He was his children's biggest fan, investing countless hours coaching and cheering Carter on through years of sports and making every effort to be there to watch Kennedy Mac shine in gymnastics. Whether on the ball field, in the gym, in the stands, or simply spending time together as a family, Jon showed his love by showing up. Being a husband and father was his greatest purpose, and his family was the center of his world.

Peggy Ann Stone, 68, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale.

Peggy was born April 14, 1958, in Springdale, Arkansas, to Dewey Carl Yeager and Dorothy Mae Neal Yeager. She grew up in Springdale, where her father worked as a carpenter, and her mother was a homemaker. Peggy graduated from Springdale High School in 1976. She went on to spend 38 years working as a pharmacy technician, including time with Walmart, Fred's Pharmacy, and Collier's Pharmacy.

On July 15, 1977, Peggy married Robert Stone, then of Wheaton, Missouri, at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. Together they shared 49 years of marriage and raised their two sons. Family was always an important part of Peggy's life, and she especially enjoyed family reunions, attending church, and family vacations.

Peggy was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Pea Ridge. She enjoyed searching flea markets for antiques, collecting quilts, and adding to her large collection of teddy bears. Over the years, she also had many beloved cats. More than anything, Peggy loved her family. She will be remembered for her sweet and caring personality and for always being willing to lend a helping hand to others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Dorothy Yeager; her grandparents; her aunt and uncle, Glen and Darlene Parker; and her cousin, Sandy Parker.

Jerry William Lawson, 85, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026
in Cleveland Oklahoma.

Born in Spring Valley, Arkansas, on June 4, 1941, Jerry was the last surviving of 13 siblings. He
was raised in Hindsville and the surrounding area, attending schools in Hindsville and
Huntsville. Before turning 18, Jerry and his twin brother James moved to Indio, California, to live
with his oldest sister, Mary.

Jerry built a strong reputation for his strong work ethic. He began working at a service station in
Desert Center along the old highway, where his friendly demeanor caught the attention of the
owner, who soon brought him to the Indio service station right next door to Ciro’s Pizzeria—a
local spot that quickly became a lifelong favorite.

Later in life, Jerry spent close to 30 years working as a sales driver for various bread
companies, earning the deep respect of his clients and community through his steady
dedication. Following his retirement and years of annual visits to see his twin brother, Jerry
made the decision to return home to Arkansas, where he found great happiness enjoying
morning coffee and bench visits with old-time friends and cousins.

Brandy Pauline Selby Gotter, 52, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on October 2, 2026, at Freeman Medical Center in Springdale, surrounded by the love of her family.

Brandy was born on May 12, 1974, at Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, Texas, to Ravanda Lynn Selby and John Ernest Selby. She was the youngest of their children, growing up alongside her older sister, Lavona Michelle Selby Walker, and her beloved older brother, John Paul Selby. John Paul tragically passed away at just 15 years old, when Brandy was only 9. Losing her big brother so young was a tragedy that helped shape Brandy for the rest of her life. She learned about loss and heartbreak at an age when a child should never have to, and that early experience became part of the woman she grew into.

Brandy spent most of her life in Springdale, where she devoted much of her time to being a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She was the proud mother of Heather Elaine Murphy-Gotter-Willingham, Vincent Denver Gotter, and Nisa Lynn Gotter, and grandmother to Kyree Lynn Willingham, Da’Travian Bryant Taylor, and Ca’lexa Trinity Rose Wagoner. Her family was an important part of her life, and the memories they shared will be cherished for generations.

Brandy was a member of Western Hills Baptist Church. She loved music and singing and had a beautiful voice. She also had a special love for animals. Anyone who knew her knew she had a unique sense of humor and could find something to laugh about...
