I think sometimes we need to stop for a moment and remember what it actually means to be alive.

Before there were governments, money, taxes, corporations, property lines and all of the rules we live under today, there was life.

We were born onto this planet.

We were given air to breathe, water to drink, sunlight to warm us, soil that grows food, fire that allows us to cook and a beautiful world that provides so much of what we need to survive.

None of us had to earn the right to take our first breath.

Nobody sent us a bill for the air we breathed when we were born.

We didn't have to pay for the sunlight that warmed our skin or prove that we deserved to feel the rain.

We were simply born and we were alive.

Somewhere along the way, we created systems to organize our lives. Maybe some of those systems were created with good intentions. Maybe they were meant to protect people, create order and help communities live together.

But I think we should stop and ask ourselves something.

When did the systems we created to serve people become systems that people feel they have to serve?

When did simply living become something that requires us to constantly earn enough money to keep going?

When did having a home become something that can still leave you afraid of losing it?

When did food, water, shelter and security become things that some people have in abundance while other people struggle just to survive?

And when did we become so accustomed to living with stress and fear that we started believing that this is simply how life is supposed to be?

I'm not saying that people should hurt one another or that there should never be any way to resolve disagreements. People need to be able to live together peacefully.

What I'm asking is whether we have allowed the systems we created to become more important than the people they were supposed to serve.

Think about a child receiving an orange.

A child doesn't look at that orange and think about its market value. They see food. They see something they can hold, taste and enjoy.

And if someone gives that orange to them because they love them, it becomes more than food. It becomes a gift.

Maybe we have forgotten how to see things that way.

A home is more than a piece of property.

Food is more than a price at the grocery store.

Water is more than a bill.

A child is more than a number in a school system.

A person is more than their job, their income, their debt or the taxes they pay.

And life itself should be more than an economic calculation.

Imagine waking up in the morning without immediately feeling the weight of survival on your shoulders.

Imagine being able to take a deep breath and simply be grateful that you are alive.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Feel the cool air move across your face.

Drink clean water.

Share food with the people you love.

Walk outside and appreciate the beauty of the world without thinking about what everything is worth.

Watch your children play and let them experience life without teaching them that their value will someday be determined by how much money they can make.

Maybe freedom isn't just having the ability to choose between the choices someone else has already given us.

Maybe freedom begins with remembering that we are human beings before we are workers, consumers, taxpayers, students or anything else society has decided to call us.

We were alive before these systems existed.

Maybe the systems should always remember that they were created to serve human beings.

Not the other way around.

We don't have to hate one another.

We don't have to destroy everything.

We don't even have to agree on everything.

Maybe we just need to remember what it feels like to be alive.

Remember the breath.

Remember the water.

Remember the sunlight.

Remember the earth beneath our feet.

Remember the people we love.

Remember that none of us had to earn the right to be born.

We are here.

And maybe the first step toward a more peaceful and free world is simply remembering that being alive is something worth being grateful for.

Just a reminder: Explaining a service does not mean I’m offering that service for free. There needs to be an energetic exchange for the time, energy, knowledge, and work I put into what I do. Just like everyone else, I have bills to pay and responsibilities to take care of. I’m always happy to explain my services and answer questions, but the actual service requires payment.

One day you'll look back and realize that every chapter of your life had a purpose.

The victories. The heartbreaks. The setbacks. The unexpected blessings. Every single experience shaped the person you're becoming.

Life isn't about being perfect. It's about growing, learning, and collecting moments that truly matter.

Chase what sets your soul on fire.

Value the few people who genuinely stand beside you.

Let go of those who constantly drain your energy or dim your light.

Stop collecting things and start collecting memories.

A beautiful sunset. A genuine laugh. A deep conversation. A warm hug. A moment of peace.

Those are the treasures that stay with you forever.

Not everyone is meant to remain in your life. Some people arrive as blessings. Others arrive as lessons. Even the painful chapters serve a purpose, preparing you for what's ahead.

Don't let fear keep you from living the life you're meant to live. Time is something none of us can get back.

What's one lesson life has taught you that changed the way you see the world? I'd love to read your thoughts in the comments.

Yes it's true.
