Vester Eugene Mitchell passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 3, 2026, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle of illness. Born on November 18, 1956, in Alton, Illinois. Vester was a beacon of light and warmth to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gene was predeceased by his cherished parents, Violet Rosetta and Sylvester Mitchell, as well as his dear siblings, brother Joe Mitchell and sister Sharon Donahue. He is survived by his siblings; Jim Mitchell, Carol Patton, Kenny Mitchell, Brenda Davis, Steve Mitchell and his devoted wife of 50 years, Barbara Mitchell, who stood by his side through every season of life. Together, they celebrated a beautiful marriage, having tied the knot on June 5, 1976 in Hindsville. This lifelong marriage was a testament to love and partnership, marked by unwavering support and committed parenting.

Gene was a proud father to two wonderful children: his son Michael, married to Christina Mitchell, and his daughter Kerry, married to Justin Hayes. He adored his granddaughters, Amelya and Ada Hayes who brought immense happiness and laughter into his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Gene’s passions were on the water fishing for crappie, walleye, white bass, and large mouth bass. He cherished the thrill of hunting, whether it be for deer, turkeys, or squirrels. Everyone knew he had a green thumb for an annual flourishing vegetable garden, from which he always shared harvests with friends and family. He had a woodworking craftsmanship that was amazing, he could take a block of wood and turn it into a masterpiece.

Known for his quick wit and warm smile. Gene had the ability to lighten any room with his humor and infectious laughter. His commitment to excellence was shone through any endeavor and his attention to detail was meticulous. He valued the company of a close-knit circle of friends and had confidence and strength for anyone who needed advice.

His life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, a man who loved the outdoors, stayed active, and found peace in the quiet moments. His legacy will be carried on by his loving family and friends, and his memory will be forever in their hearts.

A service to honor and celebrate Gene’s life will be held on June 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Sonora Baptist Church, located at 17330 E US Highway 412, Springdale, AR, 72764. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Washington Regional Hospice and Washington Regional Home Health for their compassionate care and support. His spirit will forever guide us, reminding us of the love, laughter, and joy he brought into our lives.

Kat is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gleason Lawson, siblings, Dorothy Kilpatrick, Charlie Kilpatrick, Pauline Kilpatrick, Chester Kilpatrick, Lee Kilpatrick, Don Kilpatrick, Brenda Branstetter, Gene Kilpatrick.

Kat is survived by her sisters, Kay Parker, Ell Townsley and husband Todd, Jenny Vazquez and husband Jose, sister-in-law, Sharon Kilpatrick, nieces & nephews, Kristi Logan and husband John, Dakota Baker (Jenny), Kimberly Thurston (Doug, Logan & Kyler), Ashley Vazquez, Joe Vazquez (Emalee, Brynlee & Hazel) Roy Kilpatrick and wife Tonya, several other nieces and nephews .

Kat was a Baptist and a member of the Harrison to Springdale Annual Wagon Train and the Northwest Arkansas Cavalcade. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request that you do something in her memory to honor her by spending time with your family at the lake or by going horseback riding.

James Harvey Kelley Jr passed away at home in Fayetteville, Arkansas on May 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Anderson, South Carolina on September 5, 1951, James grew up the son of Protestant Irish parents James Harvey Kelley “Jack” of Iva and Mildred Todd Kelley of Starr. James was taught the bible, honesty and the importance of a solid work ethic and carried those early lessons throughout his life.

Over the years, James built a life centered on family, faith, work, and service. James was known for his generosity, kindness, tenacity, having zero quit in him and his corny sense of humor. James found joy in coffee, military aircraft, sprint cars and Nascar.

James displayed his love of country by becoming a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps and later retired from the U.S. Air force. James was a Vietnam Veteran and served with such prestigious fighter jet units as the Death Rattlers, Crusaders and Green Knights. James retired as a high-ranking Non-Commissioned Officer and combat veteran. He invested many of his trade years in communications and was an expert with various types of applications both analog and digital also earning a retirement in that industry.

He leaves behind his loving wife of many years Susan, His daughter Shelby and son in law Alex, His son James and Daughter in law Shannon, his Grandson’s Justice and Jayden, his son Dusty, his stepson Tim and Grandkids Madison, Sean and his wife Grace, Mason and great grandkids Jaxon, Camila and Avery who is on the way, his stepson Eddy and daughter in law Jody, his stepson Jimmy. His Brothers Bob and wife Shannon, Dave and wife Brenda, George and wife Debra. He was preceded in death by His Parents Jack and Mildred, his sister Carmen and his brother Mike.

James chose not to have a service or celebration of life knowing a continued celebration would be felt as the stories of him will be shared in the lives of all who loved him.

Born on August 12, 2001, in Queens, New York, Gabriel brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone who knew him. Though his time on earth was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain with us forever.

Gabriel was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was deeply loved by his mother, Judy Herrera, and his brother, Nathan, who will carry his memory in their hearts every day. He is also survived by his grandparents, Maria and George Herrera, and Joe and Sonia Merced; his aunts, Betty and Jackie; his uncles, Albert and Joe; his cousins, Jessica, Leilani, and Marcus; and many other family members and friends whose lives were forever touched by him.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Merced, his cousin Craig, and uncle George.

To know Gabriel was to love him. He had a smile that could brighten a room and a spirit that could lift those around him. He leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever—moments of laughter, conversations, hugs, and the simple gift of his presence. The love he gave so freely will continue to live on through all who knew him.

As his mother, I will forever cherish the day I first held him in my arms and every moment that followed. No words can fully express the depth of this loss or the love that remains. Gabriel was my son, my pride, my joy, and he will be loved beyond measure for all eternity.

While our hearts ache from his absence, we find comfort in knowing that love never dies. Gabriel's light continues to shine in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memory will remain a blessing to us all.

A Celebration of Life honoring Gabriel will be held on June 13, 2026, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, celebrate his life, and honor the love and joy he brought to all who knew him.

Glannetta Kay Plascensia passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas, at the age of 63.

Glannetta was born on January 14, 1963 in Bakersfield California, to Glen Garrett and Janet Massey. She was also loved and cared for by William Cap Boon and Glenda Boon. She lived a life centered on family, friendship, and service to others.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Apolinar Lopez Plascensia; her children, Dawn Marie Pepe, Randy Apolinar Plascensia, Chesnee Linn Plascensia, Trista Shee Plascensia, and Nicolas James Plascensia; and her beloved grandchildren, Hunter Pepe, Maddye Plascensia, Laney Tomasa Pepe, Alexus Belle Plascensia, Kay Nicole Plascensia, Natalie Faye Plascensia, Gabriel Plascensia, and Lila Plascensia.

She is also survived by her siblings, Glen Garrett, Karen Garrett, Kelly Boon, Kristy Miller, Jovanda Adams, Kenny Moore, and Peggy Reed, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and love.

Glannetta was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Plascensia.

Throughout her career, Glannetta worked with children, a calling that reflected her compassionate heart and genuine love for others. She had a special gift for making children feel valued, cared for, and loved.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, her faith was a guiding force in her life. She cherished her congregation and the many friendships she built over the years. Her faith gave her strength and joy and inspired her to help and encourage others.

Glannetta found happiness in the simple things that made life special. She loved crafting personalized greeting cards for family and friends, making each one unique and heartfelt. She had a special affection for dolphins, snowmen, and the music of Elvis Presley. Her children grew up listening to Elvis and can still sing along to every song. She also dearly loved her dog, Stinky, who brought her countless moments of joy and companionship.

More than anything, Glannetta loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.

Glannetta was known for her selfless love. If someone needed help, she would drop everything to be there for them. She put the needs of others before her own and never hesitated to offer her time, support, and encouragement. Whether it was family, friends, or someone she had just met, Glannetta had a remarkable ability to make people feel loved and important.

Those who knew Glannetta will remember her for her unwavering faith, her caring heart, and her dedication to her family. The love she shared and the example she set will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Though her family mourns her loss, they find comfort in the many memories she created and the lasting impact she made on so many lives. Glannetta will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Orville "Tom" Sinclair, 86, formerly of St. Charles, Missouri, died Friday, May 29th, 2026. He was born in Spring Valley, Illinois to Orville and Ruth (Lohr) Sinclair.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Sinclair and daughter, Patricia Sinclair.

Tom is survived by his wife, Cathy (Hill) Sinclair; sons, David Sinclair and Richard (Carla) Sinclair; daughter, Pamela (Mark) Lewis; grandchildren, Adam (Michelle) Sinclair, Jared (Courtney) Sinclair, Rhett (Brooke ) Sinclair, Dylan (Lexi) Sinclair, Daniel Sinclair, John (Heather) Sinclair, Joshua (Morgan) Copeland, Andrew and Matthew Lewis; great grandchildren, Collin, Liam, Aiden, Brynlea Sinclair, Oliver, Finneas, Sullivan Sinclair, Gracie Mae, Adalyn and Hudson Sinclair, Eli, Alice, and Opal Copeland and #14 due in December; and brothers, Alan(Carolyn) Sinclair and Mike (Norma) Sinclair.

Tom is a 1957 graduate of Newman, Illinois, and Trade School for Computer Operation St. Louis, Mo. A teen during the 1950's he developed his love of music and "hot rods". Bill Haley and the Comets played at his high school "Rock Around the Clock." Tom's early career began at the St. Louis Army Records Center with the giant IBM computers. He was there during the fire of 1973. During the early 70's his generation was protesting the Vietnam War, Nuclear sites lid "3 mile" Island, etc.

In 1976-77, Tom was a regional representative for the National Street Van Association. It involved travel and that is when he discovered his happy place - Eureka Springs. Tom and his wife purchased a small acreage with a barn they made into a home. His favorite job was custodian at the Middle school where he loved all the kids. He loved nature, hiking, bird watching, gardening, dogs, roasting coffee, music and homebrewing (beer and wine). Tom was always the "class clown" and a people person. He was happiest among his friends and adoring his wife.

Helen “Lavonne” Fielding, age 94, of Northwest Arkansas, was born on May 23, 1932, in California Township in Madison County, Arkansas, and peacefully left this earthly world to be with her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2026.

Lavonne was a devoted Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life as an example of faith, kindness, and servant leadership for Jesus Christ. Throughout the years, she faithfully taught Bible studies and Sunday school classes, touching countless lives through her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith.

More than anything, Lavonne deeply loved her family. She treasured every gathering, conversation, and moment spent with those she loved most. Her legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love will continue through the generations of family she cherished so dearly.

Lavonne was also a dedicated member and Queen Mother of her Red Hat Society for as long as she was able to participate, forming treasured friendships and bringing joy and laughter to those around her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Marietta Evans and husband Rick; granddaughter Lindy Janes and husband Clifton; grandson Nicholas Evans and wife Brooke; granddaughter Katie Davis; granddaughter Kori Bracht and husband Derek; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Flint Evans, Mahkenzie Davis, Zaedyn Blackburn, Chloe Bracht, and Audrey Bracht. She is also survived by her only living sibling, Louise Bryant.

Lavonne was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Waggoner; her second husband, Kenneth Fielding; her son, Harold Waggoner; her daughter, Deanna Thome; her sisters, Yvonne McCoy and Norma Raye Dimmit; her brother, Loren White; and her parents, Rev. Joe White and Reetha White.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Evans, Clifton Janes, Nicholas Evans, Derek Bracht, Joel Dimmit, and Daniel Rodden.

Lavonne’s family finds peace in knowing she is now rejoicing in Heaven with her Lord and reunited with the loved ones who went before her. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born on July 6, 1974, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to the automotive industry, where he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his hard work, knowledge and commitment.

Jon shared 28 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Susan Parks. Family and friendship were the center of his life, and he took great pride in the people he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Parks, his parents Mike and Janie Parks, his brothers Jeff and Matthew Parks, his son Mason Parks and wife Lindsay Parks and his cherished granddaughter, Avonlea Parks. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jon will be remembered for his dedication to his family, strong work ethic, and the friendships he built throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bryce Carl McClain, 49, and Megan Renee McClain, 40, both of Tontitown, AR, passed into the arms of their Lord and Savior together on May 30, 2026.

Bryce was born on February 25, 1977, in Greensburg, KS. He was an accomplished
electrician and had successful careers in both the shipping and fuel industry. Bryce was known for his love of family, his kind heart, and his readiness to help anyone who needed him. He had a natural knack for fixing things and found joy in using that gift to help others.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Heidi Renee McClain of Greensburg, KS. He is
survived by his parents, Jerry and Starla McClain of Greensburg, KS and his daughters Chloe McClain and Adele McClain of the home, as well as many loving family and friends.

Megan was born November 14, 1985, in Rogers, AR. She is survived by her parents, Ronnie and Suzanne Ellington of Tontitown, AR and by her daughters Chloe McClain and Adele McClain of the home. She is also survived by her siblings Rick Ellington (Heather) of Rogers, Laura Je coat (Mikey) of Pea Ridge, Alicia Brooks of Bentonville, Mark Ellington of Avoca and Natalie Ellington (Nik) of Lowell as well as many loving family and friends. She had her associates degree in Health Professions from NWACC and was well regarded in the various roles she held in healthcare. Megan adored her nieces and nephews who all cherished their Aunt MeMe/Meg. Her smile could light up any room!

Bryce and Megan met in 2010 and announced their engagement at Christmas to their family. They were married March 12, 2011 in Rogers. “Better Together” was a motto they adopted early in their marriage and they truly lived that out. They shared a love for Jesus and were very active and served in their church, New Hope Fellowship of Springdale. They loved spending time together and with family and friends and had many interests as a couple including being outdoors, cooking and grilling, hosting family gatherings, boating, watching a good football game and the beach. They most especially loved anything and everything to do with their beautiful daughters, Chloe and Adele, who were the absolute pride and joy of their life.

A shared celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 2:00 at New Hope Fellowship in Springdale. Address is 850 Gene George Blvd Springdale AR 72762. All who loved them are invited to attend. Family will receive guests after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given into a trust to daughters Adele and Chloe McClain in care of SJN Bank of Kansas 109 S. Main St Greensburg KS 67054. The family appreciates the tremendous outpouring of love, support and prayer.
