In our first episode, we talked about the power of consistent, relationship-based care in primary care—something data alone can’t replace.

A slight hesitation. A small shrug. After ten years of knowing a patient, that moment meant everything—and led to a life-saving intervention.

I’m learning to be comfortable with discomfort.

Growth rarely happens in the easy moments—whether at work, at home, or anywhere in between.

As my kids get older, they’re beginning to look beyond what I say and pay attention to how I live. That responsibility isn’t light, and I don’t want it to be. It pushes me to grow.

As a doctor, a business owner, and a parent, I’m committed to continuing that work—even when it’s uncomfortable.

Your kids eventually stop just listening to you…
and they start evaluating you. (Can anyone relate? 🙋‍♂️)

We’ve now released 10 episodes of Country Doctor: House Calls this week we dive into the shift in parenting that happens when kids become pre-teens.

They notice:

Do you live what you say?
Are you consistent?
Are you the same person at home as you are in public?

At some point parenting becomes less about what you tell them…
and more about what you show them.
