⭐️Christina Taylor - 6 years - QA Nurse ⭐️

I have been with Advanced Healthcare Services since October 2019. What has kept me here is how genuinely fond I am of both my job and the people I work with. I truly enjoy being surrounded by knowledgeable, caring, and witty individuals who make each day enjoyable and rewarding.

One of the most meaningful aspects of my role is getting to know our field staff and, on occasion, having the opportunity to interact with patients. Those connections help make the work feel personal and fulfilling.

Professionally, I am most proud of reaching nearly seven years with the organization. Historically, I tended to leave jobs after a few years due to boredom, so this milestone speaks to how much I enjoy the work and the environment at AHS.
I would like to be recognized for my attention to detail, my commitment to completing any assignment I am given, and my ability to bring a sense of levity to a variety of situations.

I feel my work has the greatest impact when I can share information that makes someone's life easier or help them navigate a challenge more effectively.

Outside of work, I love reading, watching documentaries, and learning completely useless—but fascinating—facts. I enjoy discovering new information and expanding my knowledge, even if it never serves a practical purpose.

⭐️Lynne Melocoton - Physical Therapist- 17 years ⭐️

I’ve been with Advanced Home Health for 17 years, and joining the organization came at exactly the right time in my life. With young children at home, I needed the flexibility to be present for school activities, appointments, and the everyday moments that mattered most. Advanced gave me the opportunity to build a meaningful career while still putting my family first, and that balance is what initially attracted me and has kept me here ever since.

What I enjoy most is that Advanced truly feels like family. There’s a strong sense of support, teamwork, and genuine care for both employees and patients, creating an environment where everyone wants to see each other succeed. The most rewarding part of my role is helping patients many of whom I think of like my own grandparents regain their independence and achieve goals they may not have thought possible. I strive to meet each patient where they are physically, emotionally, and cognitively, building trust and tailoring therapy to their unique needs.

I’m especially proud of the longevity of my career at Advanced and the trust my patients have placed in me over the years. The moments that have the greatest impact are when a patient realizes they can walk more safely, transfer independently, or simply feel confident in their own home again.

Outside of work, I love traveling and consider myself a true foodie. Exploring new places through their local cuisine is one of my favorite adventures, and I believe the best memories are made around delicious meals, laughter, and quality time with family and friends.

⭐️Dr. Eli Goodman - Medical Director - 15 years ⭐️

I joined Advanced in July 2011, and what has kept me here ever since is the remarkable staff I’ve had the privilege to work alongside. Over the years, they’ve taught me a great deal about the real challenges people face as they age, become ill, or experience functional decline and about the resources, including Advanced, that can truly make a difference in their lives.

The part of my work I enjoy most is the opportunity to answer and often ask the important medical questions that arise in patient care. Helping staff clarify medical matters and deepen their understanding is one of the most meaningful aspects of my role. It allows me to support both the clinical team and the patients they serve.

One of the professional achievements I’m most proud of is my five and a half decades as an internal medicine physician. Throughout that time, I’ve tried to uphold and represent the best principles of the profession, integrity, compassion, curiosity, and service.
I hope to be recognized for those same qualities: strong clinical judgment, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a willingness to share knowledge.

I feel my work has the greatest impact when I’m able to give presentations on behalf of Advanced to other organizations. Those opportunities allow me to extend our mission outward and contribute to broader community understanding.

A fun fact about me: I am pathologically polyphasic. I have far too many interests and hobbies to count. But day to day, I try to follow one simple biblical principle: “Rush to do even the smallest good deed.” It’s a grounding reminder of what matters most, both in medicine and in life.

We had the honor of celebrating a huge milestone with Memorial Health, as they received their FIFTH consecutive Magnet designation.

Magnet hospitals are recognized for excellence in nursing practices and quality patient care. It is a hospital designation that reflects the strength of an organization - how they lead, how they collaborate, and, most importantly, the outcomes they achieve for their patients. Currently 657 hospitals hold Magnet status, approximately 10% of all U.S. hospitals. Only 2% have received Magnet designation FIVE times.

What an accomplishment! 🤩

Last night, we celebrated Advanced Healthcare’s 20th Anniversary!

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing staff and community partners who have supported us throughout the years and helped make this celebration so special.

A heartfelt thank you to Curt Smith for providing fantastic entertainment, and to Chick-fil-A Springfield⁠ for stepping in on short notice and helping us celebrate with a delicious meal.

For 20 years, we’ve had the privilege of caring for seniors in our community, and we look forward to continuing that mission for many years to come. Thank you, Central Illinois, for being part of our journey! ❤️🎉

⭐️Susan Gerding - Community Liaison - 8 years ⭐️

I have been with Advanced Home Health Services for almost 8 years. I was drawn to the organization because of its outstanding reputation and exceptional patient care, and I jumped at the opportunity to join the team.

What I enjoy most about my work is the people— both the incredible care team I work alongside and the referral partners we support every day. The teamwork, compassion, and accountability within the organization make it rewarding to be part of a team that genuinely prioritizes patient care in every way.

The most meaningful aspect of my role is building strong relationships and working with families to ensure their senior loved ones receive the care they need. Knowing that my work directly supports patient care and helps seniors thrive gives me a strong sense of purpose.

One of my proudest professional achievements is the trust and long-term relationships I have built over the past seven years. I can walk into senior communities and reconnect with people I now consider friends, which speaks to the meaningful connections I’ve developed throughout my career.

I strive to be recognized as a trusted resource for the aging population and their families. While I may not always have every answer, I take great pride in connecting patients and families with the people, services, and resources that can truly help them. It is important to me that every patient feels heard, supported, and confident that they are not navigating challenges alone. The trust that referral partners, community members, patients, and families place in me means more than I can express, and serving as a source of guidance and support is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I feel my work has the greatest impact when I am helping a family in crisis by putting a plan in place and connecting them with the support of our amazing team. It is equally gratifying to help long-term referral partners solve problems and create solutions that ultimately place seniors in safe, healing environments.

Outside of work, I love traveling and exploring new places whenever I can. My three boys keep me busy, but family adventures are always a highlight, and I hope to have visited all fifty states by next year.
