Join us for our annual Kayak With A Doc, an easy evening guided float on Lake Springfield, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19. Our Springfield Walk With A Doc (WWAD) chapter and the Park Board Outdoor Initiatives staff will share paddling tips and talk about the health benefits of being active outside. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are included. Meet at the main boat ramp by the blue tarp.

This event is free and open to the public. All CoxHealth employees, family, and friends are welcome, ages eight and up. Those between the ages of eight and 17 can attend with an adult.

Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets have limited availability so registration is required if you need to reserve one of those items. We'll put the registration link in the comments. No registration is necessary if you bring your own kayaks, paddles, and life jackets.

Participants may also receive free Walk With A Doc T-shirts, available in sizes XS-2XL in green or blue.

We are excited to share that Dr. Ally Elder will serve as R2 chief in the next academic year and continue on the chief team for her R3 year! We are thankful for her willingness to serve the residents and program. This new chief position will serve as the primary resident leader for recruitment and serve as the R2 representative to program leadership, while allowing more overlapping time in understanding responsibilities and continuity of leadership. Congratulations, Dr. Elder!
