A little Friday night brag on one of our own. ❤️🏈
If you’ve ever walked into Bloom on a Saturday and thought, “Who’s this kid behind the counter… and does he know what he’s doing?” 😂
Well, that’s my son, Landon. He’s 15, he’s a sophomore at ECHS, and believe it or not, he’s been behind the counter of a nutrition club for almost SEVEN years. He’s probably been making loaded teas longer than some people have even known what a loaded tea was. 😂
He’s a quiet kid. He’s not going to talk your ear off when you come in, but he knows his products, he takes pride in what he does, and he’s always working to learn more. And this mama is pretty proud of the young man he’s becoming.
But tonight isn’t about loaded teas.
He’s been part of the varsity football team, but tonight is different. Tonight, for the first time, he gets the START. ❤️🏈
Tonight his name is in that starting lineup, stepping onto that field as a varsity snapper. It may seem like one small position in a big Friday night football game, but when you know how long this kid has waited and worked for this moment, it feels pretty BIG.
This kid has been on the sidelines of Friday night football since before he was born. He’s grown up around it. He’s watched it, lived it, practiced for it and worked for it.
And tonight, he gets his turn.
So if you’ve ever wondered why Bloom goes so hard for our local schools, athletes, teams and programs… this is why. These aren’t just teams to us. These are OUR kids. ❤️
And tonight, one of them happens to be mine.
Go do your thing, buddy. Your daddy will be right beside you on that field and your mama will be in the stands holding her breath, taking way too many pictures and probably trying not to cry. 😂
You earned your spot.
Now go make that first start one you’ll never forget. ❤️🏈
GO REBELS! ❤️
