Imposter scams and tech support scams continue to be the leading ways older adults get scammed. Read a recent article from the National Council on Aging about how to spot scams and protect yourself and the older adults in your life. Resist urgent pleas from random texts and emails. Take a moment to evaluate whether the entity would be contacting you with a last-minute request for funds or gift cards. Hang up on callers if they make you uncomfortable and press you for personal info.
