A heartfelt thank you to ICFTE for the opportunity to present The Biopedagogy of Real-Time Engagement: An Autoethnographic Inquiry into Neuro-Physiological Awareness for Educator Well-being and Student Success at the 2026 conference in Munich, Germany.
Sharing the ABOUND Framework in an educational context with an international audience was both humbling and energizing. The thoughtful questions, rich dialogue, and exchange of perspectives reinforced something I continue to see across settings: sustainable well-being and effective engagement begin with how we understand and manage our own presence.
Presenting internationally has long been a professional milestone, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to conversations focused on educator well-being, student success, and sustainable professional practice.
My work is shaped by more than two decades of studying wellness, mental health, supervision, and presence, as well as the lived experience of parenting a child with neurodivergent needs. Those experiences have continually challenged me to explore what it means to cultivate durable presence, not only for professional effectiveness, but for long-term personal sustainability.
I am excited to continue these conversations with educators, counselors, healthcare professionals, leaders, and organizations committed to helping people thrive. Every audience brings new perspectives that strengthen and expand this work, and I look forward to future opportunities to learn, collaborate, and contribute.
If your organization is exploring topics related to professional sustainability, durable presence, wellness, leadership, or supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families, I would welcome the opportunity to continue the conversation.
