🎀 More Than 4 Million Stories of Strength

There are more than 4 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States today, including women who are currently undergoing treatment and women who were diagnosed years ago. Breast cancer survivors make up a significant portion of the cancer survivor community in our country. Behind every number is a unique story — a diagnosis, treatment, recovery, uncertainty, courage, family, friends, and a life forever impacted by breast cancer.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we celebrate those survivors while remembering that life after a cancer diagnosis can continue to bring physical and emotional challenges. Support doesn’t have to end when treatment ends. Continue checking in, continue listening, continue showing up, and continue reminding the survivors in your life that they are loved and supported. 💗

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month: 1 in 8

One in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. In 2026 alone, an estimated 321,910 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States other than skin cancers, accounting for approximately 1 out of every 3 new cancers diagnosed in women.

Those numbers are more than statistics. They represent our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and members of our community. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team at Renew Massage Therapy is honoring every person whose life has been touched by breast cancer — those currently fighting, those who have survived, the families walking beside them, and those we remember. 🎀

Breast Cancer Awareness Is About So Much More Than Pink.

You’ve probably noticed that Renew is looking a little extra pink this month. 💗 But for us, it’s not just about decorating in pink or wearing a ribbon.

It’s about the women behind the ribbon.

The women who heard the words “You have breast cancer.”
The women who are currently fighting.
The women who have fought and can now say “I’m a survivor.”
The families standing beside them.
The friends praying, encouraging, driving to appointments, bringing meals, wiping tears, and holding hands.
And the precious women whose lives were lost but whose stories, love, and memories continue to live on.

That’s why we created these three banners outside Renew.

Survivors — celebrating the strength, courage, and victory of women who have walked this road.

Currently Fighting — reminding these women that they are seen, they are loved, and they are not alone.

Honoring Their Memory — remembering the women who are no longer here and making sure their names are not forgotten.

Breast cancer awareness is about education, early detection, supporting research, encouraging screenings, supporting patients and caregivers, and standing beside those affected by this disease.

And yes… it’s about the pink, too.
Because sometimes a sea of pink is exactly what someone needs to see to know that people care.

So when you drive by Renew and see all that pink, I hope you see more than decorations.

See the stories.
See the strength.
See the hope.
See the love.

It can be a smile, a kind word, checking on a friend, sitting in the sunshine, or taking a few minutes to breathe when your day feels overwhelming. Small moments of kindness can change someone else’s day — and taking time to notice the good around you can change yours, too.

💕 A Little Dolly Wisdom for Your Day 💕

Self-care isn’t about trying to become somebody else — it’s about taking care of the person you already are. Pay attention to what your body needs, protect time for the things that bring you joy, and don’t feel guilty about needing rest. Sometimes caring for yourself means saying no, sometimes it means moving your body, and sometimes it means putting the phone away and enjoying an hour where nobody needs anything from you.

At Renew Massage Therapy, we believe wellness looks different for everyone. Your version might be deep tissue massage for tired muscles, a relaxing facial, personal yoga, Reiki, sound therapy, or simply creating more space to breathe in your week. Whatever helps YOU feel restored, make room for more of it. 🌿 Dolly said to do it on purpose — and we think that includes taking care of yourself on purpose, too!
