The reason people are turning to functional medicine isn’t complicated.

They’re tired of 15-minute appointments that end with a prescription. They’re tired of being told their labs are normal when they still feel terrible. They’re tired of managing symptoms without anyone asking what’s causing them.

Functional medicine is growing because people are done settling for incomplete answers, and they’re realizing that a different kind of care exists.

At Kare, we spend time with you. We test comprehensively. We explain what your results actually mean. And we build a plan around your body specifically.

If you’ve been looking for a provider who actually looks at the full picture, that’s exactly what we’re here for. 💚

This is one of the most important things we want people to understand about mold illness.

Leaving the building doesn’t always end the story.

Mycotoxins can embed in tissues, disrupt the immune system, and drive chronic symptoms long after the exposure itself is over.

By the time most people are really struggling, they’re nowhere near the original source, which is exactly why nobody connects the dots.

Brain fog. Fatigue. Histamine reactions. Hormone disruption. Headaches that won’t go away. The list goes on.

These symptoms seem random until someone asks the right environmental questions.

If your health shifted after living or working somewhere and you’ve never fully recovered, that’s not a coincidence. That’s a pattern worth investigating.

If this sounds familiar, that conversation starts with us. 💚

Nearly 2 in 3 Long COVID patients met the diagnostic criteria for POTS, and before the pandemic, POTS affected less than 1% of the population. That gap is not a coincidence.

POTS develops when an infection disrupts the autonomic nervous system. COVID-19 is one of the most well-documented triggers, but Lyme disease, other infections, and post-viral illness can do the same thing.

The symptoms that follow: racing heart, dizziness, fatigue, brain fog, exercise intolerance often get labeled as anxiety or chronic fatigue.

And the autonomic nervous system rarely gets evaluated. That’s why so many patients spend years without answers.

If you haven’t felt like yourself since getting sick, you deserve a plan that actually looks deeper.

Someone you love may still be searching for answers. This is why we keep searching, too. 💚

Our Founder and Medical Director, Keri, and Integrative Health Coach Grace just returned from the 2026 ILADS Annual Scientific Conference near Washington, D.C., where they learned from and connected with some of the most recognized names in Lyme disease and integrative medicine.

Speakers included Dr. Daniel Amen, Dr. Richard Horowitz, Dr. Jill Carnahan, Dr. Tania Dempsey, Dr. Jill Crista, Dr. William Rawls, and many others.

The conversations covered the challenges we see in our patients every day:
• Lyme, Bartonella, and Babesia: Testing, treatment research, and persistent symptoms.
• Brain fog, memory loss, and mental health: Exploring brain inflammation and underlying medical contributors.
• Mold illness, POTS, and chronic pain: Understanding overlapping conditions.
• Mast cell activation, hormones, and gut health: Caring for patients whose symptoms affect nearly every part of life.
• Pediatric Lyme, PANS/PANDAS, peptides, and emerging therapies.

Some of the most meaningful moments happened between sessions.

Keri and Grace connected with medical professionals who refer patients to Kare from across the country. They shared experiences, talked through approaches to complex care, and discussed how we can better support the people counting on us.

Other attendees sought them out to learn about Kare’s approach, our treatment options, and how our team cares for patients.

Nearly 15 years ago, Kare started here in Springfield, Missouri. To now have medical professionals from around the country recognize our work, seek our perspective, and trust us with their patients is something we don’t take lightly.

We are humbled. We are grateful. And we feel incredibly blessed to do this work.

Our patients are the reason we keep learning and sharing what we know. They deserve thoughtful care, more options, and support through the hardest parts of their health journey. Bringing that knowledge home to them is what makes opportunities like this so meaningful.

Please share this with someone still searching for answers and hope. There are options worth exploring, and they don’t have to take the next step alone. 💙

Most people have never heard of EBOO, and most people who have say it’s one of the most impactful things they’ve done for their health.

Micro-clots, heavy metals, mold toxins: these are things that can accumulate in the blood over time and contribute to the chronic, hard-to-explain symptoms that don’t show up on standard labs.

EBOO is one of the most advanced tools we have for addressing what’s circulating in the body at that level.

Your blood leaves, gets filtered and infused with medical-grade ozone, and returns cleaner. Your body does the rest.

If you’ve been dealing with chronic fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, or symptoms that nothing has fully addressed, this is worth knowing about.

Ask us if EBOO is right for you. 💚

8 doctors. 3 years. Thousands of dollars. Still no answers.

This is the reality for most people with mold illness, not because the answers don’t exist, but because most providers aren’t looking in the right place.

Mold illness doesn’t show up on a standard lab panel.

It doesn’t look like one clean diagnosis.

It looks like a collection of symptoms that don’t connect, until someone asks about your environment.

If you’ve been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told it’s just stress, and nobody has ever asked about water damage, air quality, or where you spend most of your time, that question is worth asking.

Researchers analyzed over 193,000 test results and found that nearly 1 in 3 people who tested positive for Lyme also had antibodies to at least one other tick-borne pathogen.

The most common co-infections found alongside Lyme were Babesia, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia, and Babesia alone requires completely different treatment than Lyme.

This is why so many Lyme patients don’t get better.

Not because the treatment isn’t working, but because the full picture was never tested for.

At Kare, comprehensive tick-borne illness testing is part of how we approach complex cases. Because treating Lyme without asking what else came with it is an incomplete answer.
