3/17/26 We want to inform our community that there is currently a power outage at Springfield Health Center, 100 River Street. This affects patients with physical therapy and occupational therapy appointments scheduled for today.

At this time, we do not have a confirmed timeline for when power will be fully restored.

This past February 2026 our clinical education department hosted a virtual Community Health training for healthcare staff at Springfield Hospital and North Star Health with a focus on asthma best care practices. This statewide initiative, funded by the Department of Health was presented by UVMMC Pulmonologist and Director of Severe Asthma Clinic Dr. Brittany Duchesne, and Marguerite Warner, RRT, RCP. Nearly 50 participants joined us to learn, share insights, and strengthen their knowledge of caring for patients with asthma.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and be part of this important conversation. Your dedication to learning and improving patient care truly makes a difference.

We are proud to announce that we now offer the Navigo 4D Fusion Navigation System to perform MRI guided fusion biopsies of the prostate. Fusion biopsy combines MRI and ultrasound images to precisely target suspicious areas — improving accuracy, reducing repeat procedures, and helping our doctors detect and treat conditions earlier. It’s especially helpful for patients with prior inconclusive biopsies or elevated PSA levels. Springfield Hospital is one of only a handful of hospitals in New England that offer this service.
