Hospice care is about so much more than medicine.
It's about seeing the whole person, understanding their unique story, and finding ways to bring comfort, dignity, and connection to each day.
Recently, we identified a challenge facing a patient who relies on texting to stay connected with family and friends. Due to a hand tremor, texting had become a slow and frustrating process, making communication increasingly difficult and creating a barrier to the meaningful connections that bring comfort and joy to his days.
Thanks to our partnership with Janet’s Wish, we were able to provide a new Chromebook to help make communication easier. With a larger screen and keyboard, our patient can now stay connected with the people he loves more comfortably and efficiently.
When he received the Chromebook, Dale shared, “This will make the most of the rest of my days.”
Moments like these remind us that hospice care is about enhancing quality of life in every way possible. We are grateful to for helping us meet needs that go beyond traditional care and for making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. ❤️
