As we wrap up Fire Prevention Week, here’s one last charging safety tip to keep in mind, even when you’re traveling. When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails, it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly. Thank you to Sparky the Fire Dog and the National Fire Protection Association for helping us share these important fire safety reminders throughout Fire Prevention Week!

Being a good neighbor can mean many things—a friendly hello, checking in on someone who lives alone, picking up groceries for a friend, or simply taking a few minutes to listen.

At Access Care Partners, we see the power of neighbors helping neighbors every day. Small acts of kindness and connection can make a big difference, especially for older adults, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and others who may need a little extra support.

Today, we encourage everyone to reach out to someone in your neighborhood. Knock on a door. Make a phone call. Offer a helping hand. Sometimes, being there is the most meaningful thing we can do.
