☀️ May is Melanoma & Skin Cancer Awareness Month ☀️

Did you know skin cancer can develop on the eyelids and even in or around the eyes? Because the skin around the eyes is so delicate and frequently exposed to UV rays, it’s especially important to protect it year-round.

Warning signs to watch for may include:
• A new or changing mole near the eyes
• Dark spots or discoloration on the eyelids
• A sore that doesn’t heal
• Redness, swelling, or irritation that persists
• Changes in vision or unusual growths around the eye

Protecting your eyes and skin is simple:
🕶️ Wear UV-protective sunglasses
🧢 Use a wide-brim hat outdoors
🧴 Apply SPF daily — including around the eyes
👁️ Schedule regular comprehensive eye exams
