When numbness, tingling, weakness, or pain won’t resolve, the problem may not be where you think it is.
In some cases, a nerve can be compromised at more than one location along its pathway—for example, at the neck and again farther down the arm. This is known as Double Crush Syndrome, and it can help explain why treating only the area where symptoms are felt may not produce lasting results.
Understanding where a nerve is being affected—and whether there is more than one point of irritation—is an important part of properly evaluating persistent nerve symptoms.
