Is it teen attitude... or something deeper? 💙

It's not always easy to tell the difference between typical teen behavior and signs of emotional distress. In today's episode of Clinically Yours, Lincoln Prairie therapist Megan talks through what emotional distress can look like in teens, what to watch for, and how parents can respond with support.

If you've been wondering whether your teen may be struggling, this conversation is for you.

Lincoln Prairie is here for teens and families, when support is needed. Call (217)-585-1180 to learn more.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, Abbi is sharing a reminder we all need to hear: you are never alone. 💚

Inspired by her own mental health journey and the healing she finds through painting, Abbi created rocks with uplifting messages for patients to take with them as they discharge—small reminders of hope they can carry with them beyond our doors.

Her story is a beautiful example of how healing can come full circle—and how even the smallest message can make a big impact. ✨

Small messages. Big impact. 💚

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, our patients shared words of hope, encouragement, and strength — and Abby Bormida, Financial Counselor, turned those messages into hand-painted rocks now placed throughout our front entrance garden.

What started as a creative act of kindness has become a reminder that even the smallest words can brighten someone’s day and help others feel seen, supported, and not alone. Special thanks to our Recreation Therapy team for continuing to gather more inspiring messages from our patients as this project grows.

As every visitor walks through our doors, we hope these rocks serve as a symbol of healing, hope, and the importance of mental health awareness in our community. 💚
