📺🍫 LUCY, GROUCHES, WORMS & A WHOLE LOT OF LAUGHTER! 💚🪱🗑️

Oh, what a FUN trip down memory lane we’ve had here at Springtown Park Rehabilitation & Care Center! 😂❤️

Last week, we celebrated the anniversary of the beloved television classic I Love Lucy! 📺❤️ Our residents enjoyed watching the unforgettable Chocolate Factory episode, and of course, we couldn’t resist reenacting that hilarious scene ourselves! 🍫🤣 Let’s just say, keeping up with those chocolates was easier said than done! Lucy and Ethel would have been proud!

And TODAY, we went from sweet chocolates to downright GROUCHY as we celebrated National Grouch Day! 💚🗑️

Our residents had a blast testing their aim by tossing bean bags into Oscar the Grouch’s trash can! But the REAL entertainment came courtesy of two familiar troublemakers! 😂

Our very own JJ transformed into Oscar the Grouch, while her partner in crime, Deb Janitor of Angels Care Home Health, took on the role of Oscar’s beloved best friend, Slimy the Worm! 🪱💚

Now, anyone who knows JJ and Deb knows that when these two get together, you might as well buckle up because the SHENANIGANS are guaranteed! 🤣 These two have absolutely NO problem making fools of themselves if it means bringing smiles, laughter, and joy to our residents!

And THAT, my friends, is what it’s all about! ❤️

Whether we’re reliving treasured television memories, dressing up as Sesame Street characters, or simply being downright SILLY, every activity is another opportunity to create meaningful moments, encourage participation, and remind our residents that you’re NEVER too old to have FUN! 🥰

A HUGE thank-you to our wonderful friend and supporter, Deb Janitor with Angels Care Home Health, for always being such a great sport and matching JJ’s crazy energy! We aren’t sure which one is the bigger kid, but we’re pretty certain our residents wouldn’t have it any other way! 😂❤️

Never a dull moment at Springtown Park… and we wouldn’t want it any other way! 💚

🙏❤️ FAITH, FELLOWSHIP & FRIENDSHIP ❤️🙏

There is something truly special about those who faithfully give their time and talents to bring the love of our Lord into the lives of our residents.

For several years, we have been blessed by some wonderful groups who continue to walk through our doors with smiling faces, open hearts, beautiful music, and a genuine desire to minister to our residents. Their visits bring so much more than entertainment—they bring encouragement, fellowship, hope, and a wonderful sense of community and belonging. 🎶✝️

We would like to recognize and thank The Joy Singers, Pastor Shay Franklin’s Youth Group from Mansfield, Texas, and First Baptist Church of Dennis for their continued dedication to our Springtown Park family.

Whether through uplifting music, worship, conversation, prayer, or simply taking the time to sit and visit, each of these groups reminds our residents that they are loved, remembered, valued, and surrounded by a caring community.

We are incredibly grateful for the friendships that have grown over the years and for your continued support and commitment to our residents. Thank you for answering the call to serve and for sharing the love of Christ so freely with our Springtown Park family. ❤️

🌟 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH – RACHEL KALEEL, LVN! 🌟

Some months, choosing our Employee of the Month takes a little discussion…and then there are months like this one when the decision is easy and unanimous! ❤️

We are incredibly proud to recognize Rachel Kaleel, LVN, who works our rehab/short term hall as our Employee of the Month! 👏🎉

Rachel plays such an important role here at Springtown Park, and to say she goes above and beyond would be an understatement. On any given day, she may be juggling multiple admissions at once, each one requiring tremendous attention to detail, organization, patience, and compassion. Yet somehow, Rachel manages to dot every “i” and cross every “t” while keeping her cool and getting the job done!

Even when we know she has a million things going on behind the scenes, Rachel never allows a resident or family member to feel rushed. She is thorough, patient, and takes the time to give each new resident and their family the attention and reassurance they deserve during what can often be an overwhelming transition.

And her dedication certainly doesn’t go unnoticed! Rachel is well loved and respected by her CNAs, fellow nurses, management team, and staff throughout our facility. She is someone others can count on, and her commitment to our residents and our team speaks volumes about the kind of nurse and person she is. 💙

Rachel, we have complete admiration and respect for the work you do each and every day. We are truly honored to have you as such an integral part of the Springtown Park family.

❤️ A Little Late, But Absolutely Worth Celebrating! ❤️

Last week was National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without recognizing the incredible Therapy Department here at Springtown Park Rehabilitation & Care Center! 🎉👏

We may be a little late with our recognition—but in our defense, this is one ACTIVE and BUSY bunch! 😂 Trying to get the whole crew together long enough for a group picture was quite the feat! When they aren’t working with our residents, they’re somewhere down a hallway helping someone regain strength, improve mobility, build independence, communicate more effectively, or reach that next important goal. 💪❤️

We appreciate all the moving, stretching, strengthening, encouraging, motivating—and yes, all that running up and down our halls—you do every day! 😂💪
