Happy Mother’s Day
Especially to you, the mom who carries the invisible weight, not just of the decision making, scheduling and everyday task management… while I see and honor that heaviness of motherhood for sure, I see you with the unexplainable exhaustion, pain and sadness that sits deep within the body, source unknown
To the moms who are toeing the line trying to do right by your children while still making sense of your own childhood or navigating a longing that you can’t name.
I see you, the mother who feels a profound tiredness that sleep cannot fix, because it is the exhaustion produced by the nervous system, not the body. I see you carrying that unspoken anxiety of trying to do everything right, and the crushing guilt of feeling like it is still never enough.
You are not failing because you feel this weight, your body is simply trying to process a lifetime of holding everything together for everyone else.
Helping you is why I do the work I do!
Today, my hope for you is a moment of true exhale. You do not have to have it all figured out, you do not have to put on a brave face, and you do not have to heal it all today. Your worth as a mother is not measured by how much suffering you can silently endure or how much you can keep it all together.
You are seen, you are valued, you are loved, you are allowed to be supported and most of all: you are allowed to just be, exactly as you are.
