Blue Ridge Regional Hospital

Blue Ridge Regional Hospital We exist to identify and respond to the health and wellness needs of the region, partnering with pati That's the plain English version.

Located in the mountain town of Spruce Pine, Blue Ridge Regional Hospital believes that family-centered care is the best approach to meeting our patients’ needs. Continually delivering exceptional care, we understand that it takes a combination of modern medicine and technology, compassionate attention to detail and expertly applied knowledge to reach the best possible medical outcomes. We believe

that patient and family-centered care is the best approach to achieve successful outcomes in healthcare, and the cornerstones of that approach are dignity and respect. Equally important are information sharing, participation, and collaboration. Patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals form a partnership that benefits everyone. We define a family member as anyone the patient designates as important. Families are not just visitors; they are essential in patient care and decision-making. Every staff member at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital is dedicated to this approach. We combine patient-centered care with modern medicine, advanced technology, compassion, and care provided by loved ones to reach our ultimate goal—to provide the best care and outcomes for patients. Notice to Patients: No one will be denied access to services due to an inability to pay. There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income. This also applies to the following clinics: Mission Community Medicine Spruce Pine, Mission Health Mauzy-Phillips Center, Mission My Care Now Spruce Pine, Mission Women’s Care Spruce Pine, Mission Community Surgery Spruce Pine, Mission Community Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Blue Ridge, and Blue Ridge Medical Center - Yancey Campus. During Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, Blue Ridge Regional Hospital joins our broader HCA Healthcare network in recognizing the incredible first responders and EMS professionals who answer the call when our community needs care most. 🚑❤️

Each year, approximately 10 million patients receive care in HCA Healthcare emergency rooms. Here in our own community, so many of those patients rely on our outstanding local EMS teams for safe, timely transport to our ER, as well as critical, life-saving care along the way.

We are incredibly proud to partner with these dedicated first responders. To our local EMS teams: thank you for your unwavering skill, courage, and compassion every hour of every day. We deeply value your partnership, your steady support, and the vital role you play in keeping our community healthy and safe.

Please join us in celebrating and thanking our local EMS heroes this week! 👇
