25 years ago our world stopped as we witnessed a nightmare on US soil. But we also saw the greatest days our country has experienced in the wake of this tragedy. The countless rescues, tireless work, and the way we all came together afterward as one country has been unrivaled since. Roughly 90% of my female patients over 40 have dry eye. As we age & our hormones change, our tissue dries out, including our eyes! Sometimes hormone therapy helps. Well stated information. This was all over my feed when it first came out. The normal risk is at most 0.01% or 1 in 10,000 people. It doubles to 0.02% w/ a GLP-1. But a microscopic percentage doubled is still a microscopic percentage. Yes, it’s a risk to be aware of, but in many cases, the benefits of GLP-1s outweigh this risk.
