For a recent school auction donation, I created a personalized package of four family-sized, freezer-friendly meal. The winning family’s wish list was simple: nutritious, balanced, vegetable-forward meals that were vegetarian, with meat variations for those who wanted them, while avoiding nuts, peanuts, sesame, and mustard.

So I got cooking👩🏼‍🍳🥘:
🥔 Vegan Zuppa Toscana + homemade sourdough
🌶️ Veggie & bean enchiladas + chicken & veggie enchiladas
🎃 Pumpkin black bean chili + homemade cornbread
🥒 Zucchini lasagna roll-ups + meat variation

Everything was made from scratch, packaged for the freezer, and accompanied by personalized reheating instructions so that when life gets busy, a nourishing homemade dinner is already waiting 🥳

This is one of my favorite parts of being a Registered Dietitian: taking nutrition knowledge and turning it into real food that works for real families: No complicated meal plans. No perfect eating.

I can help busy families create tailored meal plans, practical recipes, and realistic strategies that fit their family’s tastes, schedules, nutrition goals, and dietary needs, without spending hours figuring out “what’s for dinner?”!

And I’m excited to share that meal planning classes & hands-on cooking classes will be coming to Nourished Living this winter! 👩🏼‍🍳 We’ll cook together, learn practical nutrition skills, build confidence in the kitchen, and create food that your family will actually want to eat.

Because nourishing yourself and your family shouldn’t feel like another full-time job. ❤️

Stay tuned for more details!

🌟Sometimes opportunities arrive that feel like they were meant to be.🌟

In 2020, I opened Nourished Living in my current office. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of clients navigate nutrition challenges, improve their health, and build sustainable habits.

Now, I’m excited to share that Nourished Living will be moving to a new location inside the future home of Kids On The Go early next year.

The local paper recently featured the nonprofit’s new building project and mentioned that Nourished Living will be part of this exciting space. What makes this especially meaningful is that I’ve been teaching nutrition & cooking classes for Kids on the Go for years, helping children and families build confidence around food and cooking.

The new space includes something I’ve always dreamed of having access to—an instructional kitchen. This will allow me to expand beyond one-on-one counseling and offer hands-on experiences including:
✨ Cooking classes for children and adults
✨ Meal prep workshops
✨ Sourdough bread classes
✨ Grocery store tours
✨ Community nutrition programs

I can’t wait to create a place where nutrition education comes to life through cooking, connection, and practical skills that people can use every day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Nourished Living over the years. The best is yet to come. ❤️

If you’ve ever wanted to attend a cooking class, tell me below: What class would you be most excited to take? 👇

Some people pose with trophy fish. I pose with trophy loaves. 🍞📸

After days of feeding, folding, waiting, and hoping, she’s finally ready for her close-up.

As a dietitian, I love sourdough because the long fermentation process may make it easier to digest for some people and can have a gentler impact on blood sugar than many highly processed breads.

But let’s be honest… today I’m mostly here to brag about my catch. 🎣

What’s your biggest sourdough loaf to date? 😜

Feeling so touched today 🩵 My patient and her husband surprised me with this fun, handmade wreath featuring my business logo. It was such a kind reminder of why I love what I do.

In my practice, it’s about so much more than nutrition—it’s about building meaningful relationships, walking alongside people in their health journey, and celebrating wins (big and small) together. Grateful beyond words for the amazing people I get to work with every day. ☺️

✨ 700 Strength Classes ✨

Four years ago, I signed onto my very first Peloton strength class (in my basement). I remember seeing another participant hit their 700th milestone that day and thinking, “Wow… that number feels impossible.”

Fast forward to today, and I just finished my own 700th strength class 💪🏼.

This journey has been about so much more than just reps and sets. Strength training has:
✔️ Built my confidence
✔️ Improved my athleticism
✔️Prevented age-related muscle mass & bone loss
✔️ Strengthened my mental toughness
✔️ Shown me I can achieve goals that once felt out of reach

What started as a challenge has become an important part of my life…and a reminder that small, consistent steps really DO add up to something powerful.

Here’s to the next milestone 🔥 (got my eye on you, 1000)

Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking to AlixPartners’ Women Empowerment group during their lunch & learn series. Their event focused on cancer prevention alongside a company-wide fundraiser for breast cancer 💕.

As a dietitian, I shared practical, evidence-based lifestyle strategies for cancer-prevention. I focused on small, realistic changes that can have a big impact on long-term health. It was inspiring to see so many women committed to taking proactive steps for themselves and their families. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I love bringing these conversations into the workplace, because wellness is so much easier when we have the right tools, support, and community.

If your company is looking for engaging wellness presentations on nutrition, chronic disease prevention, or healthy eating strategies for busy professionals, I’d love to connect! ☺️

It’s back to school time, which for most triggers a range of emotions. 📚🧠One topic not commonly discussed is how to handle when your child makes negative comments about their bodies. Let’s face it – adolescence is hard! 🫨Kids’ bodies are rapidly changing and growing, and that can feel strange, embarrassing, and confusing. Back-to-school clothing shopping, trying out for athletics, emphasize on getting “bigger” as we get older are all examples of things that can heighten the feeling of self-consciousness. 3 months of summer break often leads to noticeable changes for themselves and for their peers. Oof!🫣

What are some things you can say when your child expresses anxiety over their bodies?
⭐️ All bodies are good bodies.
⭐️ Your body does lots of great things for you, like play the sports you love.
⭐️ Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and that’s cool.
⭐️ People can eat the same way and exercise the same way but won’t look the same way.
⭐️ Everyone has things they don’t like about their bodies – you are not alone.
⭐️ Body fat is important to help you grow.
⭐️ Even if you don’t like something about your body, your body deserves your love and respect.
⭐️ Let’s focus on something you like about your body instead.
⭐️ Bodies are ever changing, rearranging! That can feel tough, but it is normal.
⭐️ Your friends don’t care what you look like – they like you for who you are.
⭐️ There is never a need to apologize for your body.
⭐️ Could you say that in a way that shows value towards your body?
⭐️ I love the things that make you uniquely you.

Most importantly, model positive self-talk about your own body. If this feels uncomfortable for you, you can empathize with how it must feel for your child!
Give it a try: What is something you love about your body?🥰🥰🥰
