This year has looked different than the past FOUR years serving our community. Iāve supported families through complex issues like: infant loss, postpartum mental health, and complicated infant medical conditions. Support for every family looks so different.
While I LOVE to support moms through childbirth- I have such a deep love and passion for pregnancy and childbirth.. this season has highlighted my place in postpartum support as well.
I am thankful for the opportunity to support these families. But I am also thankful for the much needed rest coming my way. We have a short trip planned soon. Then when we return, Iāll actually have 3 nights off per week- Iāve been working 7 nights a week for longer than Iād care to admit š
. Then we patiently wait for 2 of my other repeat clients to go into labor.
I donāt know that Iāll ever feel worthy to do this work, itās a privilege to enter every birthing space and every home during the most vulnerable times. Thank you to all of my clients who have trusted me.
