Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South Inpatient rehabilitation hospitals provide intense speech, physical and occupational therapy to prepare patients for a return home.

We offer specialized treatment programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopedic injury as well as other injury and illness. Our rehabilitation programs are centered around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities differ from other post-acute options most notably in the amount of therapy offered and medical oversight provided. We offer specialized therapy, rehab-trained nursing care, rehabilitation physician involvement and disease state management tailored to our patient population. Our patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy at least 5 days each week.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South celebrated Rehab Week with a trip down the yellow brick road! 👠💚

Our Wizard of Oz-themed week was filled with fun activities for our coworkers, including 🧠 Scarecrow brain teasers, 🍓 strawberry lemonade and wearing red for Dorothy, 🌈 over-the-rainbow cake, 💚 wearing green for Emerald City, plus a coworker potluck and plenty of games and fun throughout the week!

Rehab Week is a special opportunity to celebrate the incredible team that helps our patients find their strength, independence, and way forward every day.
