Crystal Wisdoms | Happy Friday!

Today’s crystal will hopefully help you in finally standing strong in your power, albeit in a soft but strong manner. This retrograde has been funny, in that I exclaimed to my mom, “wow, it’s like this retrograde has a gun”. I always know it’s best to stand strong in the storm that is dredging up during mercury retrogrades, but sometimes you can’t help but notice how rough it is. And then you gotta sit down and remember again to sit through it. Lavender amethyst, when formed, knew it was doing just that, though. Remember, the science and the magic are one and the same.

Lavender Amethyst (SiO2 + Fe3++) - As with all amethyst, this one was formed with the basic ingredients in a pocket of newly formed igneous rock, silica-enriched water, some ferric iron, heat and a dash of gamma radiation. In this case, the gamma radiation and heat aren’t as intense as, say, the deeper colored amethyst we are used to, but nonetheless, Mother Earth has her reasons here.

With this lower intensity when being created, this stone comes in with a beautiful energy cloaked in a soft strength. It will not only work on the heart chakra, but go towards your crown, opening you up. Feeling more sure of yourself, you can step forward in your life, in your strength, without having to prove anything to anyone. It transmutes, being part of the Violet Flame family, but it does so in a gentle manner that the change in frequency doesn’t leave you feeling unkeeled.

While meditating with this stone, we work with the 3D version of Chamuel and Zadkiel energies, letting you go back to your center, for there you will finally go back to you. You will be able to stand strong during the storm, and know without a shadow of a doubt that what you do is true to who you are, and, if you continue staying true to yourself, for the better of all around you.

Silky Fluorite (CaF2) - This crystal is a halide, belonging to the same family as table salt, if you can believe that. It is formed by alternating calcium ions (Ca2++) and fluorine ions (F-) in aqueous solution. The color differences come from the crystal being bombarded by radiation, kicking out a F-, creating a vacancy within the crystal and for a split moment in time, no longer electrically neutral.

Are you still with me? Ok, good.

To regain stability, it will grab an available electron closeby. This electron is now known as the “color center” - this can exist in an excited state, meaning it will absorb energy in the form of a photon, and as it grabs a photon in the yellow range, we see that beautiful complementary color of purple.

Much like it does in the atomic setting, it has a stabilizing effect on our brain waves as well. By stabilizing what is going on with our brain waves, we get to reach clarity, improve our decision making skills, and finally clear the energetic debris around us. As silky fluorite does this, it stimulates the third eye chakra, helping with insight you’d normally get but this time with a logical and clear explanation of what you are seeing, vs that overactive, overstimulated, full of “white noise” experience some of us sometimes feel when dealing with the spirit world. Also something that keeps popping up this week is reminding us to stick to who we are - are we trying too hard to gain acceptance from another? This happens when we are not clear on who we are and what we are experiencing. And this crystal is trying to provide you with this clarity so you no longer sell yourself out to anyone. Doing so only hurts your inner child even more, dear one.

So sit back, let silky fluorite come in and calm your current energetic vibration, and sink into a calmer, peaceful surrounding.

Amazonite [(KAlSi₃O₈) + Pb + H2O] with Smoky Quartz (SiO2) - Forming when hot silica lava/acid rich in aluminum and potassium finally starts to settle from gas/liquid to a solid state, Amazonite’s origins seem no different than most volcanic rocks. The difference here is there is then a trace impurity that comes in, in the form of lead and water, giving it this blue-green color you see. This specific specimen carries with it smoky quartz.

For healers, this is the stone of communication, of truth and of coming forward to make peace based on the truth. This ability brings us compassion, as well. Therefore, you now see its blend of working with the throat chakra as well as the heart chakra.

Remember, it is not unusual for chakras to work in tandem, seeing as they are all connected. When people have gone through intense emotional and/or physical abuse, have you not noticed how difficult it is for them to speak up? It is a hurt heart constricting the throat chakra.

With this specimen in mind, since it has smoky quartz, it carries a protective property to it - smoky quartz was once carried into battle, so it is holding you steady and also helping in stopping destructive power based on greed, corruption, etc.. (remember smoky quartz raven? No BS allowed here, my friends). Put this together with amazonite, and you are unstoppable, dear hearts.

So focus on this specimen, watch its beautiful energetic light dissolve away what is stopping you from speaking up, for you are safe, and you are loved.

Bumblebee Jasper [(CaCO3) + (FeS2) + (MnO2) + (As4S4) + (As2S3)] - This specimen is brought to you by ancient violent stratovolcanoes 🌋 How appropriate for something so dramatic and scary to bring us such beauty and hope. Bumblebee Jasper is comprised of sedimentary rock with components of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), Iron pyrite (FeS2), manganese oxide (MnO2), realgar (As4S4), and orpiment (As2S3). In other words, it is a bunch of volcanic matter squished together to make this unique piece. It is also, due to this complex structure and lack of microcrystalline quartz, not a true jasper, although it’s true name could be something along the lines of perhaps a “fibrous calcite” (source: USGS).

This stone is supportive of the sacral and solar plexus chakras. As she targets these areas in today’s meditation, she invigorates your ability to connect with manifesting your dreams by getting you on the correct wavelength, removing doubt and fear from the equation. It is also known for activating neural activity, sharpening your mind and making you ready for any of life’s adventures. How perfect for the energies presented to you during this time!

Smoky Quartz (SiO₂₊) - When quartz gets hit with radiation from the uranium in surrounding bedrock, the color centers around aluminum inclusions will be activated and give us the well known brown hue we all love. Found in several spots around the world, the most notable to me is this is the national gem of Scotland, called Cairngorm (from the Cairngorm Mountains).

[Note from author: A lot of help for this post came from Hazel Raven’s book, “Crystal Healing - The Complete Practitioners Guide”. She is an amazing mentor, friend and guide for me, and I hope you learn from her hard-earned wisdom within this post, too.]

Which brings me to this - this is the warrior’s stone. Smoky Quartz has a deep history with warriors. It instills protection and was carried into battle, as late as WWI. Today, it steps forward to PROTECT the authentic ones. This stone also steps forward to help you see beyond the veil of illusion.

By instilling protection and wonderful insight in seeing the BS, it fills up your root chakra (and frankly, your third eye) with confidence and love, something we should all radiate during this wonderful season.

Titanium Aura Quartz (SiO2 + Ti) - This is what happens when the element Titanium is bonded to quartz in a vacuum setting via atomic v***r deposition. As we talked about the past few times on aura crystals, this is done to help those practicing with healing crystals to experience the power of an element, amplified through quartz.

In this case, titanium radiates strength, mental sharpness and physical power, while its rich colors that emanate help make it a strong resonant activator of the Rainbow Body. This crystal is coming through today to help in working all of the chakras, and in instilling those properties we may all need a little bit of a boost of nowadays. It has not escaped me that some might feel a little frazzled right now, leaving us with the need to recognize our powerful selves again. Celestite (SrSO4 + K++) - Forming in sedimentary rocks, this is a sulfate mineral. This beauty is one of ~200 types of sulfate rocks, meaning it has four oxygen atoms forming a square with a Sulfur atom in the middle. The beautiful coloring comes from trace material of potassium.

Its formation within sedimentary rock reminds me of a peaceful oasis within a crowd - peaceful chunks of rock among the rest of the others. And that is what is here to do today.

Celestite is a gentle, soft and uplifting stone, helping one connect to the angelic realm and can even help one connect to their guardian angel (Simmons, The Book of Stones, 2021). It aims towards the third eye, crown and etheric chakras, really opening you up to this beautiful world when you need it the most. During this period of rest, use this specimen to bring you home.

This sphere steps forward to offer herself as your peaceful place for today. May you use it for comfort, peace, tranquility, connecting with the angels or whatever you may need that doesn’t need to feel like a jolt of caffeine in the system. And may your communication lines clear up and feel more aligned again.

Danburite (CaB2Si2O8) - This stone originates in pegmatitic granite, meaning it grows quite slowly (and in larger specimens) in thick volcanic rock. Having been first discovered in 1839 in Danbury, CT, this was a stone that was used sometimes in place of diamonds due to its usually colorless specimens (still is, although not as easily found in the jewelry world as say cubic zirconia is now). Although known for its colorless specimens, you will find light pinks and yellows do exist within the danburite specimens.

With this wonderful colorless property, and its crystal formation, it is a stone connected to the Angelic Realms - it is embodying purity and light in the 3D. Because of this, it is useful in clearing karma, karmic patterns, and even aiding in physical ailments. Pure cosmic energy will do this, and I use it often in my practice to help people find their inner angel, their inner light and good. It is also used extensively for helping folks with several different parts of the body with ailments, in particular liver, gallbladder and kidneys.

The energy right now could have you seeing a lot of posts and advice on manifestation, but you need to help yourself first with healing your whole self (body, mind, spirit) before you get to that point. It is, after all, part of aligning yourself to the correct energy. So, danburite, along with the physical, is targeting and stimulating your solar plexus, heart, third eye and crown chakras, as well as beyond these in the etheric chakras. It comes through now to help in karmic clearing, and anything no longer serving you in your auric field.

Dear reader, in order to work with this energy, we need to start with a clean slate so we can make our magic and inner angel happen.
