Dr Gail Cloud, DC, Body Presencing

Dr Gail Cloud, DC, Body Presencing Chiropractic Physician, Family Systems Facilitator, and Psychological & Medical Astrologer and author of the book, Therapist's Daughter. I live in St.

I want to be vital until the day someone lays me in the grave. That is why I became a chiropractor over 20 years ago. I am passionate about anything that relates to well-being. Louis with my inspiring husband and beloved dogs. As a chiropractor, I act as an interpreter so my patients can listen to, understand and integrate what their bodies are saying to them so they can live more whole, healthy

and vital lives. Then they are able to interact with the world in a way that contributes to us living in peace, and with joy and prosperity. As a facilitator in the Family Constellation work and family systems work, and as a life coach, I assist my clients towards knowing who they are and being who they are in the world, always connected to their families and their communities, and yet separate from them so they can live lives of wholeness and vitality and contribute to the world living in peace, joy, and prosperity. I have trained with Debra Silverman and am certified by Debra Silverman as one of her astrologers, and also trained with Judith Hill, and is training with Demetra George to further my study and understanding of the science and art of astrology. I interweave the power and understanding astrology gives us into my work in a unique way that integrates one’s understanding of oneself, and the dynamics of, and the voices of those we carry inside of us through our lineage and our family of birth. I give a unique approach to the therapeutic process and to the ways in which astrology can be used to help us to accept ourselves, to understand ourselves and our purpose, and help us to grow and heal as individuals.

Today, I'd like to talk about one small word that can have a surprisingly large influence on our lives: "no."

Sometimes "no" is exactly what we need. It creates healthy boundaries, but other times, we say "no" so quickly that we don't even realize we're limiting ourselves. "No, I can't." "No, I'm not ready." "No, that's not for me." Often these responses arise before we've paused to ask whether they're from fear or out of habit. Today, I'd like to explore how we unintentionally minimize ourselves.

If you're curious about uncovering some of your automatic patterns I would love to talk.

With care,
Gail

What do you do when you find yourself in a place where you simply cannot do it by yourself?

Many of us have learned that asking for help is a sign of weakness. The opposite is true. There is courage in recognizing when we need another person's help.

What has helped you through the moments when you couldn't do it alone?

If you're looking for a safe place to reconnect with yourself, I'd be honored to talk to you.

With care,
Gail

Nearly three years ago, I began sharing my BodyPresencing™ Words of the Week. What started as a simple way to offer a thought, a reflection, or a question has become something I genuinely look forward to each week.

There is something fulfilling about sharing what has helped me in the hope that it might encourage someone else along their own journey. We all have gifts that naturally give back; sometimes it's listening, cooking, teaching, creating, encouraging, or simply being present for another person. What is something you enjoy doing that feels like you're giving back to those around you?

Recently, I was present with someone who was actively passing away in hospice.

Experiences like this have a way of reminding us what truly matters. In those moments, there was nothing to fix, nothing to accomplish, and nowhere else to be. It made me reflect on how often we rush through our days without offering that same presence to the people we love or even to ourselves. Today, I'd like to share what this experience taught me about simply being present.

Presence is not just about slowing down, it is also about being present to what is right in front of us. Have you ever realized you were so busy "doing" that you almost missed something important?

The other day, I was sitting in Starbucks, completely immersed in my writing. Then something happened that I would like to talk about.

One of my favorite ways to care for myself, and my family, is through food.

This sweet potato and black bean casserole has become a family favorite. The base is simple: sweet potatoes, black beans, brown rice, coconut milk, fresh ginger, lime, salsa, and seasonings; but it's incredibly versatile. You can add cheese, onions, your favorite vegetables, or even a protein if you'd like.

I'd love to hear what ingredients you would add to make this dinner recipe uniquely yours?

The other day, someone told me they didn't like being asked what they were doing later that day. Not because the question was invasive, but because it made them feel like they weren't doing enough.

I want to talk about that.

How often do we react not to what was said, but to the meaning we attach to it? A simple question can become a judgment. A casual conversation can awaken an old story about productivity, worthiness, or not measuring up. The question wasn't really the issue. The internal process was. Have you ever found yourself reacting to what something meant to you rather than what was actually said?

Have you ever woken up feeling sad, angry, irritated, or unsettled for no obvious reason?

Nothing happened. No one said anything. The day hasn't even started. Yet something feels off.

What do you do when that happens?
Do you push it away?
Do you ignore it?
Do you distract yourself?
Do you let it grow throughout the day?

Many of us have learned to either suppress our feelings or become consumed by them. I want to talk about what I do when this happens to me.

If you'd like to explore practices that help you develop a deeper relationship with your emotions, awareness, and inner experience, I invite you to learn more about BodyPresencing™.

How many times have you started something new and then questioned yourself?

A new way of eating.
An exercise routine.
Learning a language.
A creative project.
A healthier boundary.

At first, there is excitement. Then sometimes there is discomfort and self-doubt.

Maybe this isn't for me.
Maybe I'm not capable.
Maybe it's too hard.
Maybe I should just stop.

It is easy to believe that if something is right for us, it should be or feel easy. But, growth often feels awkward before it feels natural.

Are you experiencing doubt in the middle of a new habit or change? If you'd like support developing greater awareness, presence, and trust in yourself during times of change, I invite you to learn more about BodyPresencing™.
