Screen time is part of growing up. But the data tells us something we can't ignore.

Teens spending five or more hours a day on screens are significantly more likely to show su***de risk factors. That statistic isn't meant to scare you. It's meant to remind us all to stay present, stay curious, and stay connected to the young people in our lives.

Don't panic. Pay attention.

Pay attention to the quiet shifts. The withdrawn moods. The conversations that get shorter. The signs that something deeper might be going on. You don't have to have all the answers. You just have to notice, and be willing to reach out.

That's where Response comes in. When a student is struggling, Response connects them to a licensed clinician right away, giving them a real, immediate, judgment-free place to turn.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week at Journey to Healing for the official launch of the Response app. Your presence, your energy, and your belief in this mission made the evening unforgettable.

This launch is so much more than an app going live. It's a promise. A promise that students struggling with their mental health will have a real, immediate, judgment-free place to turn. A promise that no young person has to navigate the hardest moments of their life alone. A promise that BHR will keep showing up, keep innovating, and keep saving lives.

To our partners, supporters, community members, and the BHR team who made this moment possible: thank you. We couldn't do this work without you.

The journey to healing continues. And it just got a lot more accessible.

The glow of the screen feels like company. πŸ“±

But for too many teens, those late-night scrolling sessions are quietly shaping how they feel about themselves, their friendships, and their future. Three hours a day on social media doubles their risk of depression and anxiety. The average teen spends three and a half.

That is not a number to scare you. It is a number to ground you.

Educators and advocates, your students deserve this. Whether you lead a school, a district, or a PTA, we'll show you exactly how Response works and how to bring it to your community.

Saturday, June 20th is going to be a beautiful day in East St. Louis. 🌱

Preston Community Garden is hosting Youth Day at the Garden, a free afternoon of planting, painting, plant bingo, hands-on demos, giveaways, music, and pure joy. The Bubble Bus rolls in, That Black Coffee Truck pulls up, and the community comes together to do what we do best: grow.

BHR proudly supports Preston Community Garden and the work they pour into our youth and families. Spaces like this matter. When young people get their hands in the soil, learn alongside neighbors, and feel seen by their community, something powerful takes root. Confidence grows. Connection grows. Hope grows.

This is what cultivating wellness looks like.

Mental health support shouldn't depend on your zip code, your school district, or whether your family can afford a therapist. But for too many students across the country, it does.

That's why we built Response.

Response is BHR's mental health app designed to put real, immediate support directly into students' hands. No long waitlists. No insurance hoops. No "we'll call you back in three weeks." Just help, when they need it most.

Because every kid deserves someone in their corner. Every student deserves to be heard. And every young person navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or just a hard day deserves access to care that actually meets them where they are.

We're closing the gap. One student at a time. One school at a time. One conversation at a time.

This is how we save lives.
