BIA-MO Mission Moment
The Difference Connection Makes

Julia, a survivor of traumatic brain injury in her 20s, longed to return to the life she knew before her injury.

Her mother called the Brain Injury Association of Missouri (BIA-MO) to find help for her daughter. BIA-MO connected Julia and her mom with the DHSS Adult Brain Injury Program and outpatient neuro therapy services. That one call to BIA-MO was only the beginning of help and hope.

Within three weeks, Julia was making meaningful progress in therapy. Within three months, those small steps became major milestones. Julia was connected with Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation and landed a new job! She was on a path toward healing!

These connections, help, and hope were what she needed to move forward after her accident. This is the power and difference that one call to BIA-MO can make. This ‘Mission Moment’ is made possible through support, involvement, and partnership with BIA-MO.
