The real magic at ANC often happens overnight. While Pickle recovered, our overnight technicians were there through the quiet hours, keeping watch, offering comfort, and yes, handing out a well-earned "Cutest Frenchie" title along the way. At ANC, your pets are our pets.

🌟 Meet Reilly, the handsome guy who’s back to his sweet boy self, thanks to the amazing team at The ANC! 🌟

His mom shared this heartwarming review with us:

"I truly can’t recommend and thank every Staff member and Doctors at The ANC enough. An injury to our guy Reilly (5 years old) took us to Mizzou for an MRI. We ended up being referred to The ANC for a disc compressing his spinal cord where he was scheduled for surgery. When we got there and went to a room you truly feel a sense of calm. The Doctor answered every question and explained everything in a way that didn’t feel overwhelming. When we got the call he did well in surgery I was immediately in tears that this surgeon and staff gave my handsome guy relief from pain and the chance at full recovery. When I picked him up the next day the improvement minus some sassy attitude was immediate. We are now 4 weeks out and he is almost fully back to his sweet boy self. I could go on and on but at the end of the day should any of my pets ever need this specific specialist again will only come here to The ANC. They will always be who I recommend. When I tell anyone about what we went through I make sure they know that all the Staff and Doctors at The ANC are the reason Reilly is recovering and healing better than I could have imagined. Thank you all so much for the gift you guys gave us by giving our boy his quality of life back."

Recovery has its sweeter moments. This pup took a break between rechecks for some quality time with his care team. This is what patient care looks like behind the scenes at ANC.

Hugo is officially back to full speed, cleared for all his normal activities after a road that included cancer, multiple surgeries, and a ruptured disc.

Moments like this are why we do this work. Watching a patient return to the simple things, like a good game of tug-of-war with his brother, is the best part of the job.

Team member shoutout! The ANC’s own Dr. Kristy Keyes just passed the first exam along the path to board certification in veterinary neurology.

Dr. Keyes is one of The ANC's residents. Residents complete two demanding exams during their training. The general examination, taken in the second year, tests competency across the full breadth of veterinary internal medicine, well beyond neurology alone. Passing it reflects years of rigorous study and clinical work. Still ahead is the certifying examination, the final step toward becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
