We've had a few calls to make sure the recent water main break/flooding at Youth and Family Center hasn't affected our patient appointments- so we wanted to make sure everyone knows that YES - we are open and ready for our patients at YFC!

It's Month - do you know your risk?
Take a look at this important screening tool from the CDC to see if you may be at risk for any type of hepatitis and act accordingly!
IFM is now offering free rapid Hepatitis C testing and referral (if positive) at four of our community clinics: Community Connections Health Center in Bridgeton, Youth and Family Center Clinic in North City, Epworth Drop in Center in Normandy (must be 26 or younger), and Hancock Place Health Clinic in Lemay (must be resident of 63125).

The Core Collective at Saint Vincent is one of our MANY local clinic partners throughout the St. Louis area. And we agree - a good nurse (nurse practitioner in this case!) is indispensable to a social service organization/school/shelter/community center etc. etc. etc.. If you think bringing health services onsite at YOUR organization would help those you serve, contact IFM to find out more!

A good nurse helps people feel safe, cared for, and seen the moment they walk through the door. 🩺

This , we’re celebrating Paige, who shares her expertise and care with The CC twice a week through our partnership with IFM Community Medicine. She supports the agency in many ways, from helping welcome new youth to assisting with on-campus health needs. Paige plays an important role in helping care for our community. Thank you, Paige! We’re incredibly grateful for all that you do for our youth and staff.

When those in need in STL have no options for health care, they rely on our area's emergency medical infrastructure (including hospitals and their ERs, urgent care centers, and EMS transporters/providers) for non-emergency health needs. This is not effective for their primary care needs, is a bad use of STL's resources, and negatively affects health outcomes for everyone in STL. Help solve this issue with a gift to IFM during this "POWER HOUR" from 3-4 PM where your donation will be leveraged with matching funds. Give NOW at: https://www.givestlday.org/organization/Ifmcommunitymedicine

Overheard at an IFM Clinic this afternoon on :
"That's why I like to come here, because you know my kid".
Think about that. Primary care providers SHOULD know their patients. But the current state of healthcare is making that a rare thing - even for patients with good health care coverage - but even more so for those experiencing barriers to care like cost, transportation, language, or trust. IFM values the relationships with each one of our patients, and works to build provider consistency and trust at each of our clinics, which is critically important for the medically underserved. We can't do what we do without you. Please make a gift to support IFM Community Medicine today! Give here:
