A weekend by a lake has me thinking about how much I’ve been conditioned to fill every minute with something productive, especially since becoming a mom and the primary provider.
There’s something good about having nowhere to be and letting myself slow down a little. I’m noticing ways my body is craving the slowness and stillness, while also not really settling into it yet. It’s interesting to just observe and collect the data.
It feels fitting that our newest episode of The Overfunctioning Podcast is about imposter syndrome, because so much of overfunctioning comes back to that feeling that we need to prove ourselves. Even being “good” at vacationing and slowing down. Lol.
The new episode is out now if you want to hear us talk more about overfunctioning and imposter syndrome too. Spotify link below. 😀
