We're thrilled to announce that Silverado has partnered with Memory Air™ to bring their innovative device into the community!

Memory Air leverages the powerful connection between scent, memory, and the brain, gently delivering olfactory stimulation during sleep. Research shows this type of sensory input can help enhance memory and activate key areas of the brain associated with cognition.

Silverado is the first care provider to partner with Memory Air to offer their unique and innovative offerings to those for whom we care - both residents

To: Hospice South Houston

On behalf of my entire family, I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every member of Silverado Hospice South Houston for all that you did for us during the final days of our brother’s life. From the first phone call to our final goodbye, I was amazed at how Silverado took charge of the situation and helped us through the hardest moments of a very painful journey. Our brother, Brian Paradis, was 52 years old when he passed. The illness was silent at first - Glioblastoma high grade - thalamus. But as time progressed, so did the illness. We spent 90+ days with a different hospice agency, and making the change to Silverado was a defining moment in our brother’s care. Thank you to Alex for the way he handled the introduction of the situation and the transition from the previous hospice agency. Thank you to Cynthia for spending a substantial amount of time getting Brian “admitted” as a Silverado patient. Thank you to Irena for knowing that Brian needed to transition to all liquid medication. Thank you to Mimi for the skilled and gentle way that she handled Brian’s sponge bath on his final day. Thank you to the social worker who came to Brian’s house and very gently explained the transitioning process to our family. Thank you most of all to our sweet nurse, Shellanna, who was by our side three different times in 24 hours. Her professionalism and respect for my brother as a person and a patient will never be forgotten. She stepped in, took charge, and did not leave until the situation was under control. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus on this side of Heaven. We will be forever grateful to each of you for helping us through those very difficult final days.
