We had a galloping good time volunteering at New Canaan Mounted Troop!

Members of Stamford Health's Strategy, Marketing & Communications, Analytics, and Government Affairs (SMAG) division spent the day supporting an organization that helps individuals of all abilities thrive through equine-assisted programs.

At Stamford Health, we're committed to strengthening the communities we serve, and opportunities like this remind us how powerful connection, inclusion, and teamwork can be.

The days and weeks after welcoming a new baby can bring both joy and unexpected challenges.

At Stamford Hospital, new parents who are current patients at the hospital, can take part in Mind & Body After Baby: The 4th Trimester, a group designed to support recovery, wellness, and emotional well-being after childbirth.

Participants can learn about safe movement and exercise, restoring bowel and bladder function, and accessing mental health resources while connecting with others navigating life after delivery. As the only hospital in Fairfield County to offer this type of postpartum support group while parents are still in the hospital, Stamford Health is committed to providing support, education, and resources during this important transition.

Because caring for parents is just as important as caring for babies.

We were honored to welcome Office of Governor Ned Lamont, Mayor Caroline Simmons, DSS Commissioner Andrea Barton Reeves, and City of Stamford Outreach Coordinator Maria Millan to Stamford Health for an important conversation about upcoming HUSKY D changes and helping Connecticut residents stay covered.

The event also highlighted the HUSKY Stay Covered Task Force, a partnership between Stamford Health and the City of Stamford dedicated to providing education, outreach, and enrollment support for eligible residents.

Together, we're working to ensure our community has the information, resources, and support needed to continue receiving the care they deserve.

Thank you to Eli Lilly's CT-based team for volunteering at Stamford Health's Bennett Cancer Center. From planting flowers and painting inspirational stones to filling our walkways with uplifting chalk art, their team helped create a brighter and welcoming space for our patients, families, and caregivers.

We're grateful for our partnership and for everyone who dedicated their time to making a meaningful difference.

For the past 25 years, nurse Cecil Chan has been a trusted presence in our operating rooms.

Through decades of change and growth, his commitment has remained the same: putting patients first and supporting his teammates every step of the way.

“Whether advocating for patients, maintaining a safe surgical environment, or supporting the surgical team, I am proud to play a role in helping patients through some of the most important moments of their lives,” Cecil shared.

Thank you for all you do, Cecil! Here’s to the next 25 years.
