Global Maintenance Day

Today we’re saying a big THANK YOU to the maintenance teams at MCHC who keep everything running. They may work behind the scenes, but they make a huge impact.

From keeping facilities safe and comfortable to responding quickly when something breaks, maintenance is essential to providing quality healthcare.

💙 We appreciate your hard work, problem-solving, and dedication every single day!

🌽Our residents are getting their exercise and having fun by playing corn hole. We even had a mother/son team this week.

🌽We know, that the more exercise and movement that residents are engaged in....brings forth so many health benefits.

🌽Thank you, residents, for giving exercise a positive toss this week!

✨ Healthcare Executives Appreciation Week: June 6-12 ✨

This week, we celebrate the leaders who keep healthcare moving forward. Here at MCHC, that perfectly describes Steph Everett.

As CEO, Steph’s commitment to compassionate care, strong teams, and a healthier community helps shape the vision behind everything we do — supporting patients, families, and staff every day.

👏 Thank you, Steph, for your steady leadership, dedication, and heart for our community.

🎶Thank you, Ron Carns, for providing an afternoon of music for our residents. Your original songs combined with classic country western songs and fine guitar playing is a hit with our resident's.
🎶Residents find comfort and can relate to the raw story telling featured in many country western songs.

National First Aid and AED Awareness Week — June 1-7

In an emergency, your quick action can save a life. Knowing CPR, basic first aid, and how to use an AED can make all the difference while help is on the way.

This week, take some time to:
❤️ Schedule a class to refresh your first aid skills (see below for one option)
❤️ Learn where AEDs are located at work/school/community spaces
❤️ Encourage friends & family to get trained

If you are not CPR Certified and would like to be, the American Red Cross offers both online and in-person certification courses. Check them out here: https://rdcrss.org/2M0xLyp

Small skills. Big impact. You never know when someone will need you.

🐈She always has a wonderful smile, she is wise and wiz at playing Jeopardy. She was born in New York and she can answer Jeopardy questions in a New York minute too.
🐈She has always loved cats and is fond of cat videos and especially those that make her laugh.
🐈She has s***k, a fine sense of humor and enjoys being a Mom, Grandma, friend and has quite the "purr-sonality."
🐈Happy Birthday, June, from your MBH neighborhood and staff! We are delighted that you came West!

🎶I love the s***k, energy and soaring spirit of young children. Their belief in themselves that they can tackle most anything is inspiring and also incredibly adorable. They put forth in singing, word and deed the assurance that they can do it! Our residents love their uplifting optimism and it rubs off on everyone who is present.

🎹Cultivating optimism is something we strive for at MBH. This important task, is the responsibility assumed by staff, administration, residents, and families of residents.

🎶In the past nine months when the students from the North Prairie Homeschool Fellowship, come to engage with the residents they are slide right on to the avenue of optimism. They have learned that each resident has been wonderfully made by God and that they are forever His.

🎹🎶They have engaged with our residents in bowling, horse shoes, ball toss, jump roping, puzzles, Valentine box making and more. The look on our residents faces during this performance tells so much.

🎹We can learn much from these students who believe that our residents even with many health changes are designed by God to continue His work in this world. When our residents put their hands together and pray...it is powerful.

🎶These images are from their spring concert which included show and tell, plenty of hymn singing and a hearty thank you, to Kris Hetzel and Pastor Erin Tormanen for their guidance throughout the year.

🎹We have been thrilled to journey with Kris Hetzel, Pastor Erin, the students and family members as they discover the potential of sharing the Good News in song, word and deed. We look forward to seeing another burst of optimism this fall when they resume their visiting schedule.

🎶Thank you, and have a beautiful summer.
