Every month, our community votes and nominates a special employee of Rowntree Gardens to be rewarded with our "Daily Blessing" Award. Let's take a moment to give praise to our most recent Daily Blessing picks: Paloma Juarez and Priscilla Medina!

In 2023, Paloma took on the Facility Services Director position with great pride. Whether it’s a repair that needs attention, or simply making sure our buildings and grounds feel safe and well cared for, Paloma shows up with a thoughtful and solutions-focused approach. While much of her work happens out of sight, the difference she makes is felt every day.

Priscilla Medina joined Rowntree Gardens in 2023 as a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in our New Leaf Rehab department. Priscilla was nominated in recognition of her strong relationships with residents and community members, reflecting genuine care and compassion in her role every day.

We are truly blessed to have these two in our presence. These ladies set a wonderful example of what a Daily Blessing should be.

Dear Families
We are pleased to begin the process of welcoming our community members back home to Rowntree Gardens. To help ensure a safe, organized, and thoughtful repopulation process, returns will take place in phases over multiple days.

If you or your loved one is an Acacia or Cedars resident currently staying with family or a responsible party:
You may return to Rowntree Gardens beginning Wednesday, May 27 at 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, please enter through the main entrance to check in with Reception before reporting to the Clinic. Please also be sure to bring all medications upon return.

If you or your loved one is a GMC resident currently staying with family or a responsible party:
Our team is contacting families individually. GMC residents may also begin returning on Wednesday, May 27 at 1:00 PM.

If you or your loved one is currently staying at another community, skilled nursing facility, or board and care home:
Our team will coordinate directly with those locations. At this time, we anticipate welcoming those community members back to Rowntree Gardens over several days beginning Wednesday, May 27th, as discharge timing and coordination with each location will vary. Additional details and coordination information will be communicated directly with community members or responsible parties and care partners.
We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and support throughout this process and look forward to welcoming our residents back home.

Dear Families and community partners,

We are aware that the evacuation order affecting the area has now been lifted. While this is a positive step forward, Rowntree Gardens is not yet ready to begin repopulation. Our staff members first need time to safely return to campus and prepare the community for an organized and thoughtful reopening process.
At this time, we kindly ask that families do not bring their loved ones back to Rowntree Gardens until you receive specific directions and return instructions directly from our team. Our priority is ensuring a safe, smooth, and well-coordinated return for all residents, staff, and families.

We appreciate your continued patience, understanding, and support during this time. Additional updates and next steps will be communicated as soon as they become available.

Rowntree Gardens remains under mandatory evacuation orders, and we continue to closely follow the guidance of local officials and emergency authorities. We’re thankful to share that our community members remain safe, supported, and are being well cared for at their temporary locations.
Once evacuation orders are lifted and repopulation is permitted, reopening our community will still take some time. With no staff currently on campus, our team members will first need time to report back to work and then begin the process of preparing the environment and thoughtfully coordinating everyone’s return home.
Behind the scenes, our team is actively working on repopulation plans. Once we receive the official go-ahead from authorities, we will be better able to provide an estimated timeframe for repopulation and will communicate return instructions and next steps directly with families and community partners.

We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work toward welcoming everyone back to Rowntree Gardens.
