We are so incredibly grateful to the Josephine Caring Community and all of the wonderful residents who put together such thoughtful kits for the families in our shelter. 48 Teddy Bear kits!!! Wowza! Each bag containing coloring books, cookies, stickers, storybooks, and especially the cuddly teddy bears bring so much joy and comfort. It is so touching and personal. It means more than words can say.

For the children and adults who walk through our doors carrying the weight of trauma and abuse, these small gifts mean the world. A soft teddy bear to hold can bring calm in the middle of chaos. A cookie and a storybook can be a reminder that someone out there cares. And your kindness does just that...it reminds survivors that they are not alone.

Your compassion, empathy, and continued support lift us up and help us wrap each survivor in care. These gifts aren’t just items. They are love, safety, and a piece of healing.

We kicked off the holiday season here at Josephine with our Annual Family Christmas Photos. We love being able to offer our residents and their loved ones this opportunity to make memories and capture it on film.

What an amazing way to spend an afternoon…on a trishaw made for two! Christmas came very early in the year for our residents and Activity staff in the form of not one but TWO of these Trishaws. Our residents enjoyed a summer full of bike rides for coffee, sightseeing and watching little league baseball games.

On Monday, July 17th, 2023, we welcome eleven Skagit Regional Clinics Family Medicine Residents. They will be rounding with Dr. Dew. Returning are all third-year Resident Physicians plus four new second-year physicians.
