🧡 Faces Behind the Care 💙 Laura Grewe
Laura Grewe is an interface and applications analyst who helps keep Lakewood’s systems connected, from lab instruments to radiology software and Epic. She is approaching 30 years at Lakewood, and she still loves that her work brings something new to learn.
🔶 Tell us what your job title is and a little about what you do?
🔷 “In my job as an interface and applications analyst, I work with most of the software and hardware that talk back and forth with EPIC, like our radiology system, lab instruments, and radiologist dictation system. In February 2027, it will be my 30-year anniversary."
🔶 Favorite part of your job?
🔷 “The variety and challenges, and of course, my co-workers."
🔶 If your job had a theme song, what would it be?
🔷 “Parked By the Lake" by Dean Summerwind — an IT favorite.”
🔶 Do you have a saying or mantra you live by?
🔷 " 'Reboot for the win!’ when an issue is resolved."
🔶 One word to describe Lakewood?
🔷 “Flexible."
🔶 Favorite movie you love to watch with your family?
🔷 “Overboard” with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
🔶 If you could switch jobs with anyone at Lakewood for a week, who would it be?
🔷 “Probably one of our surgeons. I think it would be fascinating to see how God has ‘knit’ the human body together under our skin."
🔶 What do you enjoy outside of work?
🔷 “My twin grandsons, doing some farming duties, watching my son coach, and exercising!"
We’re grateful for team members like Laura, whose expertise keeps the systems behind our care connected. Thank you for nearly 30 years of service too! 🧡💙
