Established in 1975, Starkville Athletic Club has long since been a staple in our community promoting fitness and healthy lifestyle habits. Locally owned and operated in the heart of Bulldog Country, we at SAC, strive to provide our members with customer service unsurpassed by any other health club in the area. Manager, Joe Underwood and friends have worked hard to maintain the hometown community
and nostalgic energy of a smalltown, southern athletic club while staying up to date with new equipment that is safe, effective, and easy to use. One unique trait that we possess in comparison to campus/box-store gyms is that we offer separate rooms for cardio, freestyle, weights, upper body, legs, and a women's room. Licensed trainers teach a variety of Tribe member classes multiple times a day, and also offer personal and small group training tailored directly to you. A variety of protein shakes & sports drinks are available for purchase and are conveniently located in the main lobby. SAC members have access to locker rooms with multiple showers, restrooms, and dressing rooms. We have two tanning beds on site which are also included in membership fee. The "bones" of this structure feature reclaimed wood, brick and tin throughout that serve as a great reminder to use the resources (bodies) we were given to improve (or reclaim) our health and well being.
