We want to give a big welcome to our newest nurse Ella!

Ella is from Eupora, Mississippi. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and then received her BSN from University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Accelerated program in Oxford. She previously worked in the Newborn Nursery at Baptist - Oktibbeha County. When asked why she wants to work with children, she says “I have always wanted to work in pediatrics because I’ve always had a passion for caring for children and making them feel safe and comfortable. I love the opportunity to build relationships with my patients and their families while helping children grow, heal, and thrive.”

We can’t wait for our SPC kids and families to meet Ella!

We're seeing an uptick in Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease. Parents, if your little one has a fever, mouth sores, or a rash on their hands and feet, it could be HFMD. It's common, very contagious, and mostly affects kids under 5. The good news? Most children feel better within a week with plenty of rest and fluids. Keep them home while symptoms are active, and call us if fever persists or your child isn't drinking well.

We are so lucky to have the Utz family in Starkville! Not only is Jonathan a long time patient of Starkville Pediatric Clinic, but his mom, Suzie, helps so many of our other patients in her role as a speech pathologist at Kids Therapy Spot!
