Demolition today after a disastrous flood from our upstairs neighbor's pipe!

The faster the wet stuff is out, the faster we can reopen our beautiful shop!!

Can't wait to see everyone again!

08/13/2026

Last night around Midnight a pipe burst above our beautiful optical shop.

This is an emergency and we are dealing with loss of all computers, damaged lights and floors, and flooded basement.

Please be patient as we are closed for a week to recover and remodel!

🌿 Green Community Partnership Spotlight: Happy Valley Optical 🌿

Happy Valley Optical is helping customers see sustainability more clearly through thoughtful environmental practices built into their everyday operations! 👓♻️

The business carries several eyeglass lines made from biobased plastics as well as frames created from recycled ocean plastic, helping support more sustainable materials within the optical industry. As a business that works heavily with metal and plastic products, Happy Valley Optical actively looks for opportunities to recycle and incorporate environmentally responsible products whenever possible.

They also serve as a community collection point for contact lens recycling through TerraCycle. Customers can recycle contact lens blister packs, foil coverings, and even the contact lenses themselves, helping keep these hard-to-recycle materials out of the landfill.

In addition, Happy Valley Optical is transitioning interior lighting from halogen to energy-efficient LED fixtures to help reduce electricity consumption and cooling costs.

Thank you, Happy Valley Optical, for your commitment to sustainability and for helping create a greener community one small action at a time!
