John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals Inc.

John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals Inc. We are reachable 24 hours a day. In the funeral home business, it is rare, but invaluable characteristic. Ours is Staten Island's only full service funeral home.

There is nothing related to a funeral home that we can't handle for you. Nothing. Our expertly-trained staff is here to respond to your every need at a most sensitive time. You can leave all planning to us. Why? One reason is that we never depend on outside suppliers. Everything from a fleet of impeccably maintained limousines to an on-premises floral and religious articles shop to monuments and m

emorials are all owned and operated by us. Perhaps most important is the Scalia commitment to providing only the finest service with compassion and precise attention to detail. Our family treats yours with the utmost respect and courtesy. Because in your time of need, we want to take care of everything. And we do mean everything. The Scalia's Family owned business, founded in 1971, is the dream of it's owner, John Vincent Scalia, Sr. who has guided this business from it's first funeral, who today directs every funeral he can. The Funeral Home is softly decorated with heavy ceiling moldings and dainty wall moldings. The Scalia Home for Funerals facility contains eight (8) viewing rooms of various sizes. Up-Hill by Christina Rossetti

Does the road wind up-hill all the way?
Yes, to the very end.
Will the day's journey take the whole long day?
From morn to night, my friend.

But is there for the night a resting-place?
A roof for when the slow dark hours begin.
May not the darkness hide it from my face?
You cannot miss that inn.

Shall I meet other wayfarers at night?
Those who have gone before.
Then must I knock, or call when just in sight?
They will not keep you standing at that door.

Shall I find comfort, travel-sore and weak?
Of labour you shall find the sum.
Will there be beds for me and all who seek?
Yea, beds for all who come.
