In Loving Memory of Henry Awad
We celebrate the life and legacy of Henry Awad, whose journey on this earth began on September 6, 1942, in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. Henry peacefully departed this world at his home on August 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born to Henry R. Awad and Mary Margaret Burke Awad, Henry grew up in a close-knit family with his brother Donald and sister Alice, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his cherished daughters Kimberly and Jeniffer and Michael who were the light of his life. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren Zackery, Tyler & Brittany Rose Kennedy, Alexa & Danny Elliot, Austin Scilabra & fiance Samantha and Ava, as well as his great-grandsons Dallas, Leo, and Pearson. Henry's warmth and compassion also extended to his nieces and nephews, with whom he shared a special bond.
Henry found love and companionship with Patricia Buchinski, whom he married in 1965. Together, they raised their two daughters. Though life took them on different paths, Henry was later blessed to find love again with Karen Gill, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years before her passing in 2020. Their shared memories of trips to Aruba and quiet evenings at home watching old movies are fondly remembered.
A proud graduate of Most Holy Trinity High School in 1960, Henry pursued his studies at Fordham University before dedicating himself to service in the United States Marines. Honorably...
