Blaine Plastic Surgery NY Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Christine Blaine, a native New Yorker, is a plastic surgeon with offices in Huntington, Staten Island, and Manhattan.

She began her medical career by earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from Binghamton University while working as an Emergency Medical Technician and instructor. It was at this juncture she developed an appreciation for the psychological and emotional facets of patient care. Based on this she believes in treating not only the body but the individual as a whole. Dr. Blaine carried this philosophy with her throughout her subsequent medical training. Prior to attending medical school she practiced as a Physician’s Assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering in both Thoracic surgery and caring for post- operative plastic surgery patients. Following this experience, Dr. Blaine went on to medical school at Albany Medical College, where she was a recipient of the Brandon Macomber award. This prestigious award is given to the person that best exemplifies genuine sustained interest and potential in the field of plastic surgery. After medical school, she attained a highly competitive place in a combined general surgery and plastic surgery residency at Lehigh Valley hospital, a Level I Trauma Center. Dr. Blaine has participated in research, most recently concerning a female’s decision making related to breast reconstruction after breast cancer. She is a published author in the Annals of Plastic Surgery and has presented at national meetings including the Northeast Society of Plastic Surgeons. Of foremost concern for Dr. Blaine is that both her male and female patients feel comfortable with the treatment plan and their entire experience. Her early training in psychobiology has allowed her to gain keen insight into how best to meet their individual needs. She is sensitive to the idea that each patient’s needs, desires and expectations are unique.

Have you ever wondered if you are too young for a Breast Reduction? Our 19-year-old patient underwent a stunning breast transformation under our care just three weeks ago, and she is absolutely loving it!

At Blaine Plastic Surgery, we are proud to work with young patients, but not those under 16 years old, as certain insurance policies may not extend coverage for breast reduction procedures before this age. Our all-female team always facilitates a seamless and well-informed process for our patients, ensuring their comfort and confidence throughout the journey at any age.
