Seeking a new member to join our ophthalmic team at Vision Source!

Job Title: Temporary Ophthalmic/Clinical Technician
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Technician to join our team on a temporary basis to provide coverage for a team member on parental leave. This position is anticipated to run from October through January with training beginning in August!

Full time position available that will work closely with the doctors as they prepare patients for their exams. Candidates must have a positive attitude and willing to learn while working in a fast paced environment. Experience REQUIRED!!!! Duties include (but are not limited to):
* Take medical histories and verifying information
* Perform visual function and diagnostic tests
* Utilize tools such as retinal imaging equipment, visual field, and OCT
* Inform optometrist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
* Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
* Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
* Explain how to properly use contact lenses
* Assist with inventory management
* Clean and stock exam rooms
