🍉 National Watermelon Day: Pregnancy Edition!

Did you know that by the final weeks of pregnancy—around 39 to 40 weeks—your baby may be compared to the size of a watermelon? That is one sweet milestone! While fruit-size comparisons are only for fun and every baby grows differently, it is a reminder of just how much changes during pregnancy.

Watermelon can also be a refreshing pregnancy snack. It adds fruit and extra fluids to your day while helping satisfy a sweet craving on a hot summer afternoon.

Remember to wash the outside of your watermelon before slicing, enjoy it as part of a balanced diet and speak with your healthcare provider if you are monitoring your blood sugar.

Happy National Watermelon Day from Dr. Sullivan and our team! 🍉
